what cpu? how much ram? what os? what hd?

Chris R 06-30-2002 07:50 PM

I'd start with the video card - if they have a bbs - check out that and see if anyone has the same problem

Or call them tomorrow and ask...

Did'nt you just reinstall everything? It is usually a conflict with java. Try going to java.sun.com and downloading the plug-in.

sounds like hardware problem, perhaps over heat. how hot is the machine? is the video card hot? (don't touch, just hold yer fingers near...)

It's a hardware problem, or REALLY FREAKY BAD drivers. More likely a) badly seated PCI or AGP card(s), b) overheating.

Here's how to tell. Does it happen when you just turned the computer on after it's been off all night? No? Then it's overheating. Get a proper heatsink, or fan.

Otherwise, remove and reseat your PCI and AGP cards.

You may want to start, however, by getting the latest drivers for each piece of hardware in your machine.
