Anyone notice alot of declines on your paysite? I am averaging 1:5 getting declined (thats 1 out of 5 people for the stupid people). I would like some feed back on ratios with other processors like jettis, ibill, epoch etc..

there's a lot of noise about declines on the rise lately... we're launching a new service that includes transaction recovery so that a decline at your primary processor can be retried at a secondary. the consumer gets a pre-filled form, just basically hits submit for the retry.

might help out. we're looking for betas if it interests you...

Yes I've noticed this as well. Not good.

If you get a decline report you can find out who's bank decline and who's scrub decline. Nearly 90% on average are bank declines so until you get some surfers with some money they aren't getting thru anywhere.

Just out of curiosity, in ccbill's admin does it show the reason for decline... Ie bad address, incorrect zip, invalid cvv2 etc?

How can you tell how many bogus credit cards there are etc etc?

Anyway chargebacks are lower than ever (touch wood) so I dunno if declines should mean much, to me... will they just be bandwidth consuming, password trading, chargebacks in the waiting anyway?

and was declined due to Invalid Bank Routing Number.

and was declined due to Bank account/routing number not allowed here.

and was declined due to Your Credit Card Has Already Been Submitted and Processed You May Have Double Clicked. Your Card Cannot Be Billed A Second Time Please Go To The Site and Try Your Password Now..

and was declined due to Invalid Zipcode.

in all your customize forms there isn't a big clear graphic that explains what the routing number on a check is,,,,

I know exactly what you are talking about I use CCBill and I get emails like you mentions but 99.9% the person will end up signing up successful

Its not CCBills fault if the person enters bogus data

And a decline in most cases means the card has 0 dollars on it or that that card is in a blacklist and usally for good reasons

playa -- Most of the invalid routing is attempted check fraud I would guess -- BUT -- if you'll talk to your account person, they should be able to get you the form customized to get the check graphic back on there -- [email protected] can get you the acct reps name if anyone needs it.

I have seen this too. Surfers used to signup and they would enter all the correct billing info but use bullshit names and a fake address. If they wanted a refund it was easy to say the card was stolen ( because look, the adress is wrong ).

Well.. the credit card companies wont tolerate that shit anymore. If they have the wrong I.P, fake name, or fake address, the transaction doesnt go through. By the time the loser finally figures out that he is busted his card and I.P. are banned from signing up for 24 hours.

Eventually these people will figure out the rules have changed and behave right. Its sucks now but I look at it this way.. some day Visa will have to come terms with that fact that 60% of the adult site fraud is because of their users and the lack of rules which apply to users. Its a good first step in weeding out the thieves.

I also think this problem isnt worse, its just more noticeable now that ccbill mails us about every single decline. Thats like my server company mailing me everytime their network has a glitch. Why shoot yourself in the foot like that ?

I just added.... and by popular demand from my surfers.... CASH, or Money Orders made out to CASH, as a membership option.

Aside from the thieves, Surfers want to stay as anonymous as possible. They don't want to give out their personal info because they fear what might happen.


I myself don't like to give out ANY personal info, the less the better. I get fucking PHONE spam now because I realize I gave my home phone # to a couple of programs online. One jerk even tried to call me, because he figured out I'm a chick with a paysite. Luckily I gave him the wrong #. The stupid fuck.

Decline from processor is much better than 3 year back refund. Processors are protecting themselves so as you guys from stolen CC'#'s 50/50 laundering etc.

If your processor has no fraud protection - life may turn up side down in no time.

The times have changed. We first started with Lancelot, than Ibill than CCbill. PSW etc came as second and third biller for backups.

Instead of beating each other with words (or worse) on here why don't you get a secondary billing company or make ccbill your secondary billing company

Visa and MC are getting harder and harder to deal with in the Adult business.

When all the Visa and MC stuff started last year we went and got ourselves a Merchant Account thru our own bank. You can also do that. So why rely on CCbill at all if you have a problem with them. Get you own Merchant account. Its about 3% what they charge. However we will only use it in case something goes absolute wrong with online billing.

Having your own Merchant Account is no easy cookie. Its a pain and if your chargeback is about 2% Visa and MC can easy yank your account.
But it is an option for you instead of whining about 3rd billing get your own Merchant Account.

We had a retail store so it was easy for us to ease to online Merchant Account for Adults. Just check around there are some companies out there and you never have to worry about ccbill again
