I was using this for a week but reverted to my old one. The scroll wheel proved to be much useful specially when moving the page up/down. |
webcrawler,i just got this one. It has no scroll wheel as you said which is annoying, but you can program a button to do it. I have a microsoft one too,but the ball on the left part and i cant get used to it at all. Do you have pic of the one you use now?
Lol @ trackball. No way.
No i don't.
I used touchpad for some time and i got used to it. But mouse is the most comfortable for me. |
I considered getting one of these but I think I might want to rip my thumb off after a day:

Tried it for a while but no way could I get used to doing design or photochops with it. Great for Centipede though!

Once you get used to it it's awesome.Had a cordless trackman for about 3 years
I use the Microsoft one and it rocks. It took me a day or 2 to get use to it and I would never go back to a "normal" mouse. It is so much easier on your wrist and forearm when you're spending 8 hours+ a day on the puter

i used to work with a trackball years ago when first appeared and it was very comfortable. Using mouse for some time now and I see my wrist is not in good condition.
You can always relearn. I thought that touch pad is impossible to use, but it took me one day. The same about trackball.
Trackball suck.Dont use it.
never worked for me
I can't stand using a trackball

Forget Mice. They _WILL_ give you carpal tunnel syndrome which is very painful.
I was getting early signs of CPT about 5 years ago and switched to one of these. http://www.dpreview.com/news/0409/wacmint3-02.jpg Think about it - you have been using a pen since about 5 years old - so using one of these puts no stress on your hand / wrist that you are not used to. Also - no "double click" as you can programm the button on the side to be a double click when just pressed once. This is THE best thing you can do to improve your computing comfort. Allow 2-3 days to get used to it and thank me later. Only get Wacom - they are the best. Also - for photoshop nothing compares. :2 cents: |
trackballs are for fags
