Designers - Make a quick $25 - Banner Design
 

I need a banner designed (468x80) for TODAY. This is an important banner so I need it to look very professional and attractive.

Don't contact me unless you have good experience in banner design.

$25 by paypal , a good experienced designer can finish it very quickly, so I think thats fair for 1 banner.

You shouldn't offer people the lowest amount possible, when it's a rush order, most would have to wait, including you.

I'm getting tired of it. I still charge high profile customers $200- 500 for a serious well designed banner. Sometimes, I'll cut a deal if cash-flow is on pause, but this "$25 for a banner and I probably don't even have a stylecard" stuff is not my cup of tea.

Yeah, plus clients want their graphics done fast, yet they barely provide you with anything to work with. We're not fucking magicians, we're artists! :ugone2far

That my price, If I can get it cheap, than why not...people don't get rich by spending all their money you know.

I've had professional banners made for as low as $10 canadian. Unfortinatly these designers are off for the weekend.

$25 is my price, and I'm sticking to it!!

Have you found someone to do your banner yet? If not, least ya know why.

you can get a whore for $20, and a whore for $2000. Sometimes there isn't any difference, but usually there is.

Goonx.. I didn't really mean to bash you -- If you can get a good deal, more power to you. I started an image consulting company a few years ago, in hopes of bringing traditional design values to the web.

Not Gonna Happen. The only companies that really understand quality design are the 5th percentile crew... They pay good money, but they spread their cash out amongst so many production houses -- well.. let's just say, we focus our design efforts on print & high end multimedia now.

Do you know how many times some of us here this a day let alone a week?

And for you to demand professional work and priority over other people is a bit ridiculous dontcha think? at 25 bucks?

Not necessarily, a good designer can do it in 10 min. Why not take 10 min out of your time and make an easy $25 ??

I personally think a banner worth $40 would have to be pretty damn unique, and pretty damn complex - with quick load time...

$25 is more reasonable - but graphic designer could do 10 banners a day easily ($250) if they are experienced enough.

If I see a good designer, I'll pay him as much as he wants, All my designers get all the respect they ask for. I offered $25 since I don't know any of the designers here... If I like someones work, I'll pay for it, more than its worth...

You don't get paid $50 an hour when on your first day at the job...you start with $15-$20 and if the boss likes your work, he will promote you!

I don't think it's a very low price.. Mike wylde charges $45 and he is the absolute top of the design industry.

Gotta love a free market and the effects of competition.

News flash. There are tons of new designers around here trying to get a name, a small portfolio, and they need to pay their cable bill. They'll work for low prices, believe me, I've been there.

$25 really isn't that out of whack for a banner. It's not like he offered $5. Like someone else said, Wylde charges $45. How much do you guys think a banner is worth?

a banner is worth what someone is willing to pay for it :)

naw theres a difference between a single banner and a clip of 10, 20, 30 or whatever.. a single banner, I think is worth around $30.. give or take $5... but it depends on complexity and whatnot.. thats why a flash banner is worth more than double that.. it's takes WAY longer to do but is vastly more impressive in it's ability to convey a message and it's animation..
of course it gets cheaper the more you do....

True. If someone was ordering 50 banners, I would expect the price to be lower than if they ordered one. :)

I still think $25 for a banner isn't all that strange. Someone will jump on it, make a quick $25 for an hour's work, get something to add to their portfolio, and maybe get some good word of mouth advertising from GoonX if he was happy with the service and the product.

And since Wylde is the best bar none, the pricing structure starts with him. ;) $45 per static banner. Everything else works down from that price. (for standard gif and jpgs, not counting your flash stuff :winkwink: )

I don't think $25 for a banner is strange either. Took less than an hour for him to find someone... most likely several people, to do it at that price. And it is also about potential $ from word of mouth as well as the cold hard cash you get straight up.
I don't mean to step on anyone's toes here.. obviously what fletch and naughty are saying is very true.. just.. im surprised that $25 is really that low - I mean enough to jump on someone for it..$15-$20? sure, those are clip prices... but $25.. sorta scrapes through.. I thought anyway... maybe it's because im not busy with paid work today :). I mean the amount of times i've seen people come in here asking for freebies, or offering traffic or other sorts of things.. goon's offer looks fairly good.. i'd see it as a good thing that he didn't ask for people to jump through hoops for the candy..

Yeah everything starts with Wylde.. I didn't even include him in the spreadsheet I did when working out the market and my pricing structure :) (but then again I also left out the $600 whole paysite guys as well so I still probably got the same average..)
