Why is SplitInfinity A++ for support? (video)
 

Did a short little video showing the level of support we offer. Highlights how several of us use our Sidekick 3's as an awesome business tool to stay in contact 24/7 incase there are any issues, or if you just want some free splitinfinity phone sex....

I also use my sk3 in the car as a mp3 player. I use an Iriver fm adapter in order to pipe it directly into my existing stereo. I refuse to give up my factory deck because of the volume and tuning controls built into the back of the steering wheel. Id love to replace the headunit, but hate to give up the ease of the existing setup.... Anywho without further ado, here is my little vid I did today.

I take it out of the craddle and type at traffic lights, but its normally just. Hold on gimme a bit driving atm.. ;)

What kind of car... if it's what I think it is, there is a Scosche adapter kit available that will tie in with your steering controls.

And you could always at least amp around the stock unit, and get those drivers upgraded.

Im trading it in next spring anyways. There are a few adapters that will work, but Ive read mixed reviews, and the cost was fairly high.

Its a Grand Cherokee.

Yeah... I've done that install before, it can be a bit finicky

Oh and its infinity speaker system which is a large pain to do anything with. The speakers have built in amps. Requires another adapter if I wanted to stick with them. The radio is fine for the time being. What with buying a new vehicle come spring Ill just deal for now. :winkwink:

Quick question.. Is a sidekick 3 the best phone for this particular purpose? As far as chatting and e-mailing / web surfing goes.. What do you think about blackberries or treos?

My main reason is the keyboard. Treo and Crackberries are hard to type on imo. I can type 30 or 40 wmp on my sidekick, and I do about 70 wpm on a normal keyboard. It is really intuitive in use, and takes very short amount of time to figure out how it works. The internet browser compresses pages down nicely. Its actually compressed by the tmobile servers before being sent out. Only things I wish it had would be video, and a slightly better camera. Its 1.3MP which gets the job done most of the time though. Just for shooting something you want to show someone later etc.

Very happy with it though. Made the airport waits heading to Miami show and back enjoyable. Had ear buds in jamming on tunes, browsing internet, and chatting to people on icq as I walked through the terminals and waited at the gate hehe.

I don't recall exactly. I think split was getting "moved" out of Verio or sumthin, several months ago.

Right wasnt much that could be done with that deal. I wasnt with split then, but I recall the jist of it. Sorry for the inconvience. Let me know if there is anything I can do to make up for it. :thumbsup

The sidekicks have a GREAT ssh client on them for remote server work.
Mine even works in Mexico data and all.
