Yes in the armwith a .380, and it hurts like a mutherfucker, It feels like someone is sticking a hot poker in you and it continues to get hotter, Lead is not nice and I have a permanant bump on my arm were the bullet went under my forearm muscle.

Yep, sure have. By a .38 in my right femur (right leg), spent four days in the hospital, 8 months recouperating. It shattered the bone and I had to get a titanium rod placed in to hold the femur together. Left with a USD-quarter sized skar where it penetrated and multiple skars rite above my knee where they were unsuccessfully trying to fish out the round and one two inch in length skar high on my thigh where they slid in the rod. The round is now stuck rite above my kneecap and sets off most metal detectors. It was an unsuccessful robbery attempt if you're wondering.

What did it feel like?? Hmmm, imagine, if you can, someone heats up a piece of metal to where it's close to melting, and shoves it in your leg. When it happened I didn't really know I was hit because I had so much adrenaline rolling. Got to my feet and noticed the guy who did it was lying in the street close to me with -clears throat- something stuck in his neck (I defended myself, yes) and then noticed the pain when I started hobling away. Trying to walk with a broken femur is the worste pain I've ever felt in my life. The bullet through my leg was bad but the broken femurs pain brought the pain notch up 50 times more. I walked about a football field length to my friends house where they called the ambulance and police. And then that's a whole other story. lol

A few folks I know sure have been - several times - and knifed, raped and hell knows what else. It's not exactly an unusual experience over a career with law-related agencies.

Never actually asked them, but doubt they would claim to be "more powerful" because of their experiences. Injuries can last a while and be painful.

The technique seems to be, first get behind a solid brick wall and cover ass and go on the attack, second is run like hell if it gets bad and come back to fight another day.

My cousin experienced it and for him it's the end of his life. He lost his job in one of the well-known corporation here in US as well as his career in football. He went through several operations and made him weak.

Some folks are just very fortunate - if you can call it that - and "appear" to get over it, - but that's really often a lie :)

One friend has been shot a few times, but got thru that OK. Her partner was killed outright on one shooting. Then she was stabbed a few times, - got thru that OK as well. Then raped twice - and got thru that. Then... can't remember exactly, but beaten up with a baseball bat and a few other "incidents". Been thru.. think 9 MRI scans for injuries over time. Written off over 10 vehicles - either running or chasing (oddly, not one offense for bad driving :winkwink: )

Last "major" incident was a spray of auto gun fire on a freeway - nearest bullet got caught in the headrest of the car, but no injuries. She gets home calm as hell and tells me some story about the cat in the yard - then the whole story emerges.

It's almost like a state of denial and "shutoff" with verbal like "it is not my time yet". There is one crazy fucked-up world out there - most of it, we hopefully will never see. It almost supercedes any Hollywood movie - the difference is it's real life for some folks and does take a toll in the end.

I was hit by a small caliber 22 in the side of my forehead, felt like I was hit by a shovel.
All I saw was the sky and my feet straight up in the air.
landed on my back, it did not hurt at all at first until I moved my hands to my head and got a good look at alll the blood.
Not an experience I would try again.

from what ive heard the impact is like being hit with a hammer coupled with the insane burning sensation of being pierced by a white hot spike. not pleasant at all :/

Took a ricochet 22 cal in the leg... FUCK it hurt. I dropped like a rock. Hurt for months, half my leg turned black and blue and I still have a little round scar from it. The bullet hit with just enough speed to fuck me up without actually going in and kind of bounced off my bone. What you see in the movied is total bullshit.

I caught a shotgun blast to my left side while dove hunting. So luckily it was a small bird load, but it still stung and burned like hell.

A few military run in's but nothing that hit, thank god, wouldnt wish that on anyone.
