i wasnt even thinking about the money... im thinking about the inevitable misery... the feeling of a ball and chain... all of a sudden every girl except yours seems sexy... you having to report in all the time... answer to someone.. having to consider someone else's feelings and opinion.. like waking up and instead of What does quiet want to do to day? its 'What did i promise my chick I would today? oh damn, i wanted to watch football.... shitttttt'... the list goes on...

as far as the worse that can happen is your divorce, yeah, after you've wasted a chunk of your life... and you waited an extra year or two just because you were 'married' and try to make it work... it happens to everyone.... hell i know ppl who've been in 30 year miserable relationships, then get divorced... WTF? you just wasted 50% of your life!!

Marriage can be heaven or marriage can be hell. If you can keep the excitement and romance alive, stay faithful and communicate well those are key ingredients to making it last.

Having kids changes the dynamics of your marriage. I'd recommend waiting a few years before doing that. Kids are the best thing that comes out of a marriage, but also the most challenging thing for your marriage. And remember if you have kids and get divorced, you have to deal with your ex until your kids grow up.

The odds are only about 1 out 2 that your marriage will last. Not very good odds if you're a betting man. But that is reality. I'd say about half of those whose marriage does last are miserable and just staying in either because they have kids or they fear getting divorced and having to go out to the singles scene again. Also, with your wealth Quiet, be smart and get a prenup signed.

Anyway congratulations! And just remember everything you think it will be, it won't, and everything you don't think it will be, it will. But one thing is for sure, its a fascinating and incredible learning adventure whichever way it goes.

I got married last January to a girl I had met the previous August. I want to have kids and sometimes you just gotta do what your instincts tell you and take the opportunity you are given rather than waiting forever for perfection.
It was either take a chance with the girl at hand or go back to the game.

My wife is much younger and hotter and yah she is a trophy bride in most respects. Am I gonna face trouble down the road? Maybe. But I am in this with my eyes open and to achieve a goal (kids) so I am ready. In the meantime it has been bliss.

Dont' buy what you read here...marriage like life is all about what you put into it.

wow, congrats. never though i'd see quiet getting married. just hope you aren't getting into things too fast though, i thought you just broke up with someone a couple weeks back.

as for the whole marriage debate, its not for everyone. i think a lot of people rush into it when they are still in the early stages of the relationship before they get a chance of seeing how the couple works together when shit falls apart and the newness of the relationship is gone. my girlfriend is still pissed at me for saying people should live together for 5 years before getting married. of course there are exceptions. you just gotta hope you luck out and found someone who compliments you completely.
