If you host with Tear2Hosting you are hosting with a reseller, of a reseller, of a reseller !
They do not have their own ARIN IP's, which means? They do not do their own BGP, their IP's are "RENTED" to them from "B&W Operations", which in turn "RENTS" them from PullthePlug Networks, a host in VA/DC.

In all reality it is PullthePlug that does the BGP, then resells it to B&W, then B&W resells it to Tear2.
What does this mean?

#1 - Tear2 does not have their own network
#2 - Tear2 is SINGLE HOMED, they only have ONE uplink to the internet, via their reseller.

Alright, first off nice fake nickname!

Second, B&W Operations was our old name before it changed to Tear2 (My name is Jim B. Daves name is Dave W. Hence B & W Operations.)

Third, we have covered this multiple times that we have a rack hosted in the PTP cages in Equinix Ashburn. We pull bandwidth from PTP currently until our new facility in the Switch & Data Datacenter in Reston VA is ready for us. The PTP Network has been spectacular for us and is anything but single homed. PTP does not offer dedicated servers nor small colocation and focuses only on large colocation and network management customers.

In the next month, we will be moving the Tear2Hosting operations over to the Reston Switch & Data Datacenter. At that time we will deloy our own Cisco Networking Equipment (3750's dual failover) with dual failover Linksys Switches mounted on each rack. We are currently under contract with Switch & Data for 3 Racks. The room we are moving into in Reston has approximately 3000 sqft at the moment (enough room for us to grow :) ).

We own all of our server hardware and build our own systems from scratch employing only the best hardware (Tyan Motherboards, NameBrand Hard Drives, Corsair Memory, and Supermicro Chasis).

My host owns thier noc. I know, because I was there when they bought it. Its the old Cable & Wireless facility in Kansas City. It makes my penis hard when I think of all the bandwidth going to that place.... mmmm, servers.

We have a new site in the works, we just feel that we would rather save the $1000+ on a custom site and invest that money into building our own network or spending some extra money on each clients servers. We value that more than a nice flashly designed site.
