Quickest way to kill a cell phone.
I need to kill a cell phone quick, easily and stealthly. Kill as in render useless, does not work, can't do its job of calling out or receiving calls. I don't think mace will do the job but I'm thinking of zapping it with a little stun gun. There are some pretty small ones out there. Zapping it as in the exterior shell or if need be, try to make contact with the little charging dock at the base.
I've heard of electro magnetic devices that'll wipe out a hard drive if used next to one. What do you think a device like that will have if used on a cell phone? |
yeah that should work lol.. my friend drop his nokia cell phone down the 13th floors of his apartment and funny thing was it was still working lol... but then he run it over with is buddy ford pick up truck lol..
the stun gun will do enough damage to the phone , but it wont be stealthy
the circuit board will have scorch marks there will be a tell tale sign that it was fried by electricity , unless a freak bolt of lighthing struck your pocket with just enough charge to kil the phone the way with an easy story is just to leave the phone on and throw it into the washing machine |
2 seconds in the microwave, or is it three.. Anyway, that's hwat my friend always did with his phones when he "needed new ones". It's untracable and kills the phone completely.
Throw it in the water (river, bathtub... )

update your firmware and pull out the battery while it's in progress, that should do it for sure and leave no obvious signs.

I used a stun gun befor without any burn marks. Just a quick pop and its over.
Washing machine is a good idea.
Factory reset it and wipe out the ESN.
i thought first, that there is an FBI after you and you need to kill your phone to stop the shadowing
Microwave it ... 12 sec is more than enough

I would use a stungun as well. Make sure it's powerful enough -- I have a 65,000 kv stun gun that can't hurt any electronic device really, and a 950,000 kv stun gun that will fry just about anything it touches. I'm sure anything about 150,000 kv would kill most electronics.

If you want it to look like an accident, the water thing definately works. If you want it to look like it went bad on its own, most cell phones have moisture indicators. Usually one or more on the outside and one on the inside. Most have indicators on the battery too.
There are a variety of ways you could kill it without physical damage, a lot of them would require some work, though. You can flash the phone and just purposely mess that up. That would require the right software and usb cable, though. Some of the heating/electrical methods described would be quick, but under careful scrutiny would probably show some melting. On most GSM phones if you punch the PIN code in wrong a whole bunch of times it'll ruin the SIM card and temporarily disable it until another SIM can be gotten. |
go for a swim - with it in your pocket - worked for me a few times :)
punching the wrong code will only lock the phone , you will then need the puk code to unlock the phone , changing the sim wont unlock the phone
heating and electrical will leave signs , especially when the componets on the phone are only designed for small current and voltage , starting pumping stun gun voltage in and you'll leave scorch marks on the board |
If you can open up the cell phone w/o leaving any indicators like major scratch marks or breaking any warning labels, you could get to the inner board and kill it a lot easier with just one or two bursts from a cell phone, without leaving major visible damage/burning of the IC boards. But if it's just like a quick attack for revenge thing, you'll have to hold it down a bit to do the damage while it's enclosed in it's enclosure. 5-7 seconds prolly... be warned stun guns do make a fair amount of noise (especially the 700,000kv+ ones! sounds like a damn mini-machine gun), however, so it's not exactly discrete.

lol... I said one or two bursts from a cell phone :1orglaugh One or two bursts from a STUN GUN bleah. 3 minutes to edit just ain't enough!
get a 1/10,000 micro drill and drill a few holes all the way though it, no one will ever notice!
microwave. just don't leave it in very long, and be careful it doesn't boil the LCD display and leave an indication (don't know if that could happen or not, just saying keep an eye on it)
May I ask why would one want to kill a cellphone?
probably to get another one free with insurance

What's the matter...ransom demand call go bad?
if you're going to be taking this to a dealer for a refund or something, be wary of water. there are water damager stickers inside, if they get wet, then they can tell you've voided warranties.
try to short some of the connections

Follow this advice... Mr. Romance |
I microwaved a cellphone once it was totally fucked but don't leave it in too long else the plastic buckles and it looks burnt
I would talk to your girlfriend and say if she calls or gets a call from the other guy again it's over.
dump it in water?
dont dump it in water , theres a sticker on the inside that will change colors when exposed to moisture
throw it on the ground and run over it while calling it from another cell phone and hear it die.
i slammed mine on the ground and it is no more... now all i have is my computer phone... I kinda like not having a cell, its alot more peaceful.
What are yopu trying to do? Return it and get the insurance for it?
Just take out the SIM card and lose it. My insurance covers loss. |

Just sit about 100 yards away. |
Go to a hospital and ask the nice people to take an MRI of your cell phone :)
you can always sell it....
a lot of phones have a little sticker inside them that changes color when exposed to a liquid.
