If I was so smart...
Why arent I rich?
I will tell you new folks... It takes money to make money here. I came from the white trash of the trash, poor as fuck, I barely make it in this industry. With the right money things would be vastly different. It's a players industry and if ya got awesome talent and ability you might make it to get by, but if you do not have a stock cash, you are fucked and will live as I do. There are exceptions of total rag's to riches in this industry but do not let those stories fool you into believing that you can beat that curve. Odd's are you won't and you are better off working full time shifts at 7/11. |
Ummm how bad off do you have it??

But its just not in me to be a pussy. Can you imagine me sitting around the boards going "Hello my name is AlienQ! Buy my content and let me design for you! I am your best friend and I can't wait to suck your dick because you are truly a great guy! Ghee I love everyone in this industry I can say nothing bad about anyone!" On the surface I am a crack pot loose canon, I intend that. I rather not have those that judge by popular opinion on my side but those that take what I say for what it is. Entertainment and then comence biz on a more realistic level. If you judge peeps totally on the boards I am sorry.. You are total fucken moron and I'd rather not chat with folks that are that way. Fuck them, they do nothing more than showboat anyways. |

Really man...I can give you a piece of advice?
Loosen up. Treat people with the same respect that you would expect to be treated with even when others aren't. Don't comfort yourself with pity. Be honest, friendly, lend a hand and earn the respect of your peers. They will all want to have you around, work with you and admire you! There is no better wealth then that, health and a loving family. The money will come it is only time... |
Lets get to facts.
Matrix Content as much as you little faggots talk shit guess what... They still get mad sales... Boards do not matter one fuckin bit. The same can be said for numerous companies! Get real realistic. If you think boards really matter you are sadly mistaken. I thought you folks would have learned that lesson from PimpDawg or even AMP. |
Fact also.
I still get sales, I still do design and I been doing this shit for years.... Same thing, same dial, same techniques, same sig views, same FUCKING EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are cattle. If you mean real business get on the contact list and establish somthing realistic. |

You got a long way to learn. You do not want friends in the business. Infact thats the last thing you want and the last thing you can afford. Fucken christ... |

sure having a bankroll helps i agree but it doesnt mean youll be successfull. working your ass off, fortitude and focus are the key elements of being successfull and a little luck too. im smoking the pipe? ill let you in on a little secrect - i didnt buy your explanation the other day. no big deal. i left it alone because it should be left alone. if you waana get into it hit me up on icq but not here :thumbsup |
Jonesy you are a good guy, hell most of ya guys are...
Just do not get disillusioned into believing everyone is your friend. Once again I got relie on my experience in the industry. Its anything but fun, sexy or exciting. Far fromm it. Shit most of you fuckers have never even once taken a picture of a naked girl. I live day to day like I do, and I keep trying at all costs. It's not because I am an asshole, it's not because I lack talent and it's not because of the funny little trolls that live day to day saying negative shit about me or my business. The fact is I lack the finances to pull off my dreams that could work in the real world, and even if so those dreams would have to hit to make a serious rank. I do not aspire to be the next Gates, Mark D, or Fantasyman, Steven Hersch... Perhaps for those of you with big dreams oughtah sit down and realise the world before you is Fucking huge and how to capitalise on it will not be the same way predecessors have. |
too late for sig spot?

Way to late you fucken sig whore... Ya do realise you are simply nothing more than a polution to peoples eyes right? |
PS: Both men were undeniably among the grandest minds of all Human history. Though both made seminal contributions to the development of Nuclear energy, remember that #1 was #2's boss. When the destructive potential (the horror) of what they had created became apparent, both men appreciated their implicit responsibility in the unleashing of a monster on the Human species. The difference: Man #1 dropped out of the game, did little more than write (arguably ineffectual though poignant) letters for the rest of his career, was, during MCcarthy Madness, accused of being a communist (necessitating that his old friends and employers write letters on his behalf to clear him of the charges if not the opprobrium) and became so obscure and muddled a figure in History (both American and Academic) that the true scope and importance of his contributions are largely un-appreciated. In contrast, Man#2 realized that the best way to fight Evil was to remain an active member in the political and scientific communities were the fate of Evil would be decided. He remained powerful, respected, and influential. His later achievements in Quantum Physics not only dwarfed the work done in New Mexico, they helped to illuminate a new realm of research and enquiry in Physics that would excite and inspire not only Physicists, but the common man. He became a figure in the mass culture, and managed, by the end of his life, to have left as the basic message of his legacy the eternally ponderable: "Shit happens". 2hp |

Life is not about everyone else, its about you and your choices. Me though, I prefer to speak up and voice things that folks are afraid to say, I say things that could make me rich but at the same to lazy to do... So its not about me:) Its you... |
I know plenty of people who make a living, as well as a handful that are "rich" (in most anyone's definition) who started with nothing and just devoted themselves to this job. "it takes money to make money" is a truth but not the absolution. Hard work and dedication are also the keys to success. Money will only help you you on the quest.

Sorry, but it's not stupid. The whole ideology you have just seems like an easy way for you to blame someone or something else for your own pitfalls. Just to make an example of a fairly "cheap" way to make something of yourself in the biz. By becoming a tgp/blog webmaster ~ It costs roughly $5-10 for a domain. And then $10-20 for decent hosting with a couple hundred gigs a month transfer. So your total cost is mere pocket change. With knowledge and dedication it is easy to turn that $20~ a month into a decent profit. With this profit your site is now self sustaining, meaning it no longer costs you anything for upkeep (it pays for itself). Once you have a decent profit you can then purchase benefits such as a dedicated server, traffic, scripts, design, or content. Which will increase profits - giving you even more revenue to spend on more benefits. So on and so on. Now, even though that sounds easy. It is a very in-depth and daunting task. You have to be very knowledgeable in the biz and know what does what and where (how to convert, how to maintain & grow traffic, who to trade with, where to submit, seo, what affiliate programs to use, etc etc etc). As well as be dedicated and spend your time making it work. You can't just put up a web page and expect it to run itself. So like I said. Money to start with just makes it easier & a bit faster to become successful. It's hard work, dedication, and your knowledge of the field that are what really counts. :thumbsup |
I don't think I'm an exception but here's my short story... started off in debt, I was a full time double major student. Started by doing freelance consulting for small companies, then re-investing that money into small scale media buys and grew from there. While it may take a large amount of money to scale an operation quickly, if you do use the money you earn wisely, it can payoff. I did end up graduation debt free and with a solid business model to grow from there so it did work for me and it can work for you. Really, it can.
