Netiquette question
I just asked for some support for something and it was quickly resolved. Which is always nice.
Anyhow, what do you think.. should I waste the support-dudes time by just sending a quick 'thank you' mail? That's basically useless mail. So which is better in your opinion. Option a: 1) Send support ticket 2) Get it resolved and be happy Option b: 1) Send support ticket 2) Get it resolved and be happy 3) Send back a 'thanks' message |
Send a thx... supports sucks so often, they deserve to hear if they do something right.

Yeah, I usually do. But I just want to know which is expected of me. I don't want to waste anyones time.. Not that reading a 'thanks' message takes a lot of time. But depending on the volume of support-tickets they have to handle and such, cluttering them with non-'business' mails could get annoying.
..and getting a reply from someone who actually is a support guy would be nice too. :) |
I always send out thanks to people that actually provide useful support.

You should learn netiquette and stay the fuck out of adult boards and harass someone who doesn't yet know what a tool you are. :2 cents: |
