Netiquette question

I just asked for some support for something and it was quickly resolved. Which is always nice.

Anyhow,
what do you think.. should I waste the support-dudes time by just sending a quick 'thank you' mail? That's basically useless mail.

So which is better in your opinion.
Option a:
1) Send support ticket
2) Get it resolved and be happy

Option b:
1) Send support ticket
2) Get it resolved and be happy
3) Send back a 'thanks' message

Send a thx... supports sucks so often, they deserve to hear if they do something right.

Yeah, I usually do. But I just want to know which is expected of me. I don't want to waste anyones time.. Not that reading a 'thanks' message takes a lot of time. But depending on the volume of support-tickets they have to handle and such, cluttering them with non-'business' mails could get annoying.

..and getting a reply from someone who actually is a support guy would be nice too. :)

I always send out thanks to people that actually provide useful support.

Getting banned = nobody likes you.

You should learn netiquette and stay the fuck out of adult boards and harass someone who doesn't yet know what a tool you are. :2 cents:

I agree...it really takes nothing to read those quick thank-you emails and they don't feel like spam at all usually.
