It would be almost impossible to spend all I earn. I would massively have to change my lifestyle and friends. But I'm still young, so investing/saving is the way to go for me. I'll start spending when I'm around 40.

I started saving about 1.5 months ago. I just take 10% of each check and stick it in savings. As soon as I wipe out some more debt, I will up that amount.

Then once I have 6 months of emergency savings I will start investing.

edit: 6 months of emergency savings = the money I would need to live for 6 months with no income

Ummm I save, I am guessing I save around 70% of what I make minus taxes... I don't need much to live off, I can live on very little and I don't buy anything either. If I made more money I could probably save 80% of what I make... I live on less than 3k a month and make over 10k...

If I got a roommate I could probably live on less than 2k a amonth.. I'm a penny pincher, one of those misers that count and pinch every penny and watch every dollar like a hawk. Every dollar I spend is like a losing a drop of blood :1orglaugh

Right now I spend all. But I try to spend it on investments well 10% of it. Maybe next year I'll get my savings acct. Still enjoy shopping!!!!
