Yes, nice... and familiar. One thing is for sure. Bangman certainly does do nice work.

Tell me though. Why did you feel you needed Bangman and Sperminators help? Why not code, design and sell a completely original design for that price and take over the market altogether.

I mean, the price is right, for a hacked template I suppose. But I would buy from the source and change my own headers and such.

I guess I should have explained myself a little better. Bangman had absolutely nothing to do with this or any of the other templates that we'll be releasing. I was just giving him props for being a good designer. This template was originally designed (completely by myself...I can send you the .PSD if you like) for one of my blogs, www.teeniesexkittens.com. At the time, I had no clue how to code a WP template, so I hired Sperminator to code it for me. When I got it back, it didn't work exactly as I wanted it to (not Spermy's fault, I didn't know how to explain to him exactly what I wanted), so I (along with Sperminator) reworked a whole lot of the code. The template went up on TSK a month and a half ago, and has been working excellently ever since.

Over the past couple of months, some of my mainstream clients have been asking me if I could make blog templates, so I have been spending numerous hours on the WP Codex learning how to code these things myself. A few days ago my partner and I started tearing apart the TSK template and reworking the code again, taking out things that didn't need to be there (caused from our first reworking, not Sperminators work) and adding in some things that we thought should be there. We also redid some of the graphics to make them bolder and brighter. The result is...Bloggie. Although the code has been almost entirely reworked, we did give credit to Spermy for his work on the original TSK template...mainly because we have great respect for his work and for the help that he gave us on getting the original template working the way we wanted it to. This guy can turn out a quality template in under 24 hours...which is something I'm not sure we could do.

I hope that clears up any confusion on the origin of Bloggie. We're not trying to step on any toes, we're just trying to give the webmasters out there more options when it comes to having a great looking blog. And keep you eyes peeled because we will be releasing new templates on a fairly regular basis, and offering "frequent buyer discounts" to those who purchase from us on a regular basis.

Thanks for understanding. Like I said a couple times before, that's our goal...to give webmasters some more options. I'll be honest, I love Bangman's work and Spermy's work...but if EVERY blog has the same design, it's gonna get pretty damn boring. And as I said in another thread a few months ago, the free templates that you find on the 'net mostly suck.

One thing no one has done yet, is come up with black background themes. Can you do some of those? I asked several times in another thread but Bangman didn't seem to want to do one. What about you?

That's funny that you asked that...because the next template we are releasing (hopefully next week) is going to be a dark gothic theme. looks pretty slick but lacks originality

I don't know how much difference the actual design of the template makes to the surfer. What they want is the content.

It is not that there aren't any good free WP templates out there. The problem is finding a three column template that works with the latest version of WP. Given a little more time, I think that will change.

I think I am doing ok with my "free template" for now. I am just starting off and it doesn't make sense to buy one at this stage.

Ok, I'm back in the office now. Things took longer than I planned, but everything worked out ok. I've just finished answer everyone that e-mailed me while I was out, now I'm going to start replying to what was posted here. I also have a couple small announcements concerning the license/pricing thing, so scroll down for that.

I agree with you to a point. Content is definitely the most important part of a blog, but design and an easy to navigate layout is also important. Surfers have a short attention span...if they have to search for what they are looking for, they'll go somewhere where it's easier to find.

I looked at your blog, and I'll agree about your template too...it's nice. I haven't seen that one anywhere for free, so evidently you hit the jackpot of freebies somewhere.

I don't see it, but like I said in the post above, I respect your opinion. I won't say that Bangman hasn't influenced us, because he definitely has. He's awesome! But as far as Bloggie looking like any of Bangman's designs, I don't see it.

i don't really see it resembling any of bangmans current blog templates. it does have the same 3 column style but thats about it.

it's a nice template for sure and a good starting point for anyone who can't design a template themselves i've found bangmans templates very very very easy to customize

Hmm seems to me If I remeber correctly Sperminator posted some blog templates awhile ago and they all loked like bangmans So like he said in the thread when I asked him about it. theres not too much ya can do with a 3 column blog layout So I will state these look very nice and appealing

Ok, now to straighten up the license issue and the pricing issues from above. I should have made made the price clearer (and probably not blue, because it blends in with the background somehow.) in the first post, because I have had a few people e-mailing me wanting to know how much Bloggie costs.

Bloggie is $25.00/each or all 4 colors for $75.00 from now until 11:59 PM 3/26/06.

After that time, Bloggie will go up to it's permanent price of $35.00/each.

After talking it over with my partner, we have decided that you all are right, and that the 1 domain license is ridiculous. Some webmasters have more than one site/blog that they want to have matching themes, so from this moment on (in addition to the people who have already purchased Bloggie) the license is good for 2 domains, and are interchangeable. In other words, if you have 3 blogs and are using Bloggie on two of them, at any time you can take it off one of the first two and move it to the third.

I hope that clears everything up, and if anyone has anymore questions or comments, please feel free to leave them here or e-mail me or my partner. And just FYI...as of right now (much to my surprise) Red Hot Bloggie is our hottest seller (no pun intended).

Jacked & Guitar Riff, thanks for the compliments as well. So here's a question for EVERYONE....what would you like to see in the next release of blog templates? We want to make all of you happy...so let us know.

No offense to you or any of the other blog designers out there, but you all miss 90%+ of the features of wordpress. If you knew what you were doing, you could perform an overhaul on your blogs and get MUCH more out of it. Maybe it's because many of the blog designers here only have experience in the templates themselves instead of actually working with wordpress ugly codebase.

Ok, I agree with you, and seeing how I am trying to learn every aspect for WordPress and the coding, would you mind making some suggestions? What would improve them? What other WP features would you suggest? I'm open to all options here and would love the opportunity to work with the WP code more...so any and all suggestions are appreciated.

It's in the works...now do you have any suggestions of color schemes? Do you want Dark & Moody (all dark shades) or Dark & Cheery (dark backgrounds, bright accents)? Do you want one column, two column, three column, more? Any other suggestions appreciated also.
