Thank you very much for the compliment bangman...you have no idea how much it means to us. As for what we talked about earlier, did you get my e-mail about having to wait to talk to my partner about that? My e-mail has been spotty today, so I wasn't sure if you got it or not.

I disagree with you completely for several reasons.

1. It's fundamental to the WordPress concept that appearance (theme) and coding are separate, so I don't see any rationale - except in the case of much more expensive custom requests - for designers to get involved in the codebase.
2. Changes to the codebase inevitably bring whoever does it into the area of support. It simply isn't reasonable to expect that from a sub-$50 product.
3. Unless the customer has specified (and therefore knows) what codebase changes he wants (and realizes this might mean going back for more work in future, or getting under the hood him/herself), he/she is much better off getting a totally standard codebase as a starting point. Otherwise as soon as he starts doing any mods or installing plugins and hits problems, they could be very difficult to fix.

I discussed this with mrkris last night, and he has some good suggestions. The codes that he thinks should be implemented wouldn't be too intrusive to the end user. I do agree with you though, if you went crazy with the code there would be no way that the end user would be able to make any changes at all.

It's a combo of both, heavy on the CSS.
