Would you be satisfied profiting 1000$US a day?

What % of GFY do you think would be satisfied profiting 1000$ per day?

sickkittens 03-04-2006 03:36 PM

98.7% - maybe higher

Manowar 03-04-2006 03:36 PM

I dont know.

According to my calculations, someone would either need to run 1174 TGPs or submit 283 galleries per day to profit $1000 per day. Since no one does that, we must conclude no one on GFY profits $1000 per day.

DatingGold 03-04-2006 03:55 PM

$1k profit a day is alot of money. I'm sure lots of people would like that.

Somehow I manage to do alot more than that, and I will enjoy it while it lasts :thumbsup

Chris 03-04-2006 03:57 PM

30k PROFIT a month is alot of money

congrats yo! you fucking rock :thumbsup

marketsmart 03-04-2006 03:59 PM

this is surprising so far. i thought a lot of people here were doing 30k + a month profit

SmokeyTheBear 03-04-2006 04:02 PM

365k a year .. satisfied ? . guess its all in how you determine satisfaction.. i think anyone with any "real" business drive will ever be "satisfied" heh. I could prob be "happy" with 10k but not satisfied with 10 mill

Aquarius 03-04-2006 04:03 PM

That is a lot of money, in Mexico you would be the fucking king.

Jer 03-04-2006 04:05 PM

I would be uber fucking satisfied. I would need new underwear every time I checked my stats.

Furious_Male 03-04-2006 04:05 PM

365k profit yearly. Yes I would be satisfied with that.

2HousePlague 03-04-2006 04:07 PM

No offense, but I think people that get hung up on specific numbers are missing the point. Me, I'm always thinking what do I need to get from A to B. The money needed to do that is just one part of a bigger plan.

Good point, however it is unfortunately the case in American today where your monetary value is your only public appreciated value.

MaDalton 03-04-2006 04:17 PM

also depends on the amount of work i have to put into it. i would be satisfied with 1K a day - sure. but i'd prefer $500 a day if i had to work only 2 or 3 hours over $1000 for 12 or 16 hours of work.

detoxed 03-04-2006 04:17 PM

per project thats ok

woj 03-04-2006 04:24 PM

I would quit and would go look for another job if my income dropped below $1k/day...

Icy 03-04-2006 04:26 PM

I would not sign it right now, but i would for $1k per day plus the life cost increase % for the next 30 years. You never know how wil be the future of this biz. Also agree with the guy who said that it all depends on the work it would cost you per day to make it.

exactly how i think.

first thing that came to mind when i read 1k per day was the amount of growth you could sustain with that kind of $$$$ to spend towards expanding.

polish_aristocrat 03-04-2006 05:05 PM

in short: yes

czarina 03-04-2006 05:09 PM

1k a day would be nice. But I dont want to get to a point where I just stop, thinking I have enough. The minute that you do, something takes a big chunk from you.

DamageX 03-04-2006 05:09 PM

Stepping stone.

bdld 03-04-2006 05:14 PM

9/10 would call that a big milestone.

So you are saying that ONE TGP makes less than a dollar a day in profit?

How's that synonymous with being satisfied with it?

I find that pursuing *production* goals yields a profit graph that looks like this:

Doesn't what you said earlier fall in the category of "pursuing production goals"?
"Me, I'm always thinking what do I need to get from A to B."

Instead of putting a $ value on the production, aren't you simply putting a benefit value?

He's talking about economies of scale, dumbass.

mrthumbs 03-04-2006 05:59 PM

thats roughly 300k a year - taxes = 175k - living expenses.. thats very decent cash but not a lot of money. Would still take you 10 years or so to have a mil on the bank.

mrthumbs 03-04-2006 06:00 PM

I honestly belive that if oyu take your business serious 1k profit is the base.

2HousePlague 03-04-2006 06:03 PM

Yes, a benefit value that, when expressed as a rate of profitability, is non-linear. That makes it a Function, which opens things up to all manner of Economics principles, which I think is what you mean.
