No amount of money is never going to be enough. Eveyones goal when they first started in the biz was proably 100k a year, next thing it's 300k then 600 then 1 million.

Broke that barrier a while ago before receeding, then again not too long ago and growing well since, would be alright with having this much i guess but I'm more ambitious so I always want more.

It's kinda frightening to see people here talking about 1k/day as a lot of money...

Small (normal) brick and mortar businesses here (argentina, an almost 3rd world country, or straight 3rd world on usa eyes) make more than that,

we're supposed to "know better" than that working in online adult, i barely scratched 500/day for about 2 years being at the bottom of the adult food chain, i'll be happy when i make 2k/day without any work :) i know some people who makes way more than that, not posting at gfy that much ;)

I think the OP was referring to net profit - after all expenses. There are small brick and mortar businesses in Argentina with more than 30K a month net profit?

I am under $4k and above $0. IMO I can not be happy until I am at 4k a day. Mainstream is going to help me get there.

right now, the thought of that is awful exciting.. by the time i got there, though, assuming my paysite and freesite will flourish, i wouldn't be complacent

Firstly your calculations are way out, if you're a good submitter. Secondly you're assuming everyone here submits for a living.

Very good point. I've reached the point that I work a few hours a day, OK it's Sunday and I'm here, and within that time we make enough money to have a good living.

As for the $1k a day profit.

$365k in our pocket would be a nice living for Eva and I, especially here in Czech. In LA it would be barely enough. :winkwink:

The question posed by this thread implies a put-down, yet I would be surprized if most really successful people even think in such terms.

For most of the past 35 years I have earned a lot more than $1,000 a day, but the money was always a reward and not really even motivation, much less the point. I tried a couple of years of working for other people, didn't like it and when I decided to work for myself, tackling something I wanted to do and doing it my own way, seemed the logical way to go. Otherwise my job would have been as boring as if I had a boss. Luckily, the money followed, but unless I had totally flopped, I doubt I would have gone a different route.

There has been easy money in online porn, but those days are fast coming to an end and within the next 5 years it's going to take the same qualities to be successful in this business as in any other. Concern about exactly how much money they make, doesn't for most people, actually help them make it.

I don't think people are looking at that as the end of the road and their stopping point. Ultimately when you make more money, you spend more money, which means you need more money. Then you start looking at the toys guys at the "next level" have and you start working towards that as a goal.

I definately would accept $1000/day as a reasonable income, but I wouldn't be satisfied and stop trying to make more.

but come on, in Argentina the average guy makes $400 per month working 8 hours daily, you should feel succesfull there just making $5k per month and working 2 hours daily ( putting taxes aside )

I imagine most people would be happy with that, yes. Especially considering what the average yearly salary of a typical person is, that's several times more.

I'd be happy with $1k/day, I do close to that on some days (not many though)... but theres always room for growth i guess (if business is hour hobby and you enjoy doing it). I only work a 3 or 4 hour day and i'm my own boss so i'm definately satisfied with where I am.

living life is more important than money, anyone can slave away for 12 hours a day and make a shitload... but really, if you don't enjoy it then whats the point?
