i got lost trying to find my way out ! :)

Sarah_Jayne 03-03-2006 02:26 AM

Once you go in you have to go through the entire store. Very clever sales method of trapping you in the store and making you walk past every product.

PussyTeenies 03-03-2006 02:43 AM

ikea is cool
comes with instructions and spare parts (at least i allways have left overs ;)

I know a guy who takes his girlfriend to Ikea for meals... Not exactly a romantic place if you ask me.

Herb Kornfield 03-03-2006 06:30 AM

Ikea is the best place for when you need to furnish your pad on the cheap and it looks decent. Their stuff tends to last about 4-5 years which most usually want to update their furniture by then anyways and move onto nicer pieces.

For office furniture.... IKEA is the king. I have all my gear from them, looks great and not bad on the wallet.

I do NOT understand why there is NO Ikea in Florida.

'Cos Florida is full of old people - it takes so damn long to walk round a typical Ikea store that they'd die before reaching the end. It's bad enough in other Ikea stores - haven't you ever wondered what the meatballs are made of?

they're building one in Sunrise, near the Sawgrass Mills mall.

sickkittens 03-03-2006 07:20 AM

It's overrated IMO but good if you're into getting random stuff for your place. They opened another one near me and it took people hours to get inside.

There's almost no old people in Orlando.

EroticySteve 03-03-2006 07:25 AM

It's typically not legacy furniture. Without doubt some pieces will endure but it's not the furniture that your grandparents bought and kept and passed down to future generations.

That said, if you're looking to do some low-cost modern decorating much of it is quite functional.

cranki 03-03-2006 09:06 AM

we have those around here in germany since a long time and they're just great... low prices as hell and great stylish stuff!

phogirl69 03-03-2006 09:08 AM

I LOVE Ikea meatballs and lingonberry sauce, GOD DAMN it is good! The salmon is not too bad either, but the meatballs are just simply AMAZING. I need to get a frozen bag and bring it home, it is just soooooo gooooooood.

I really really like their meatballs. I am craving some right now. Their potatoes are good too, really soft and succulent and cooked just right. Ikea food is tha bomb.

:1orglaugh Opening week??? You'll never make it out alive:1orglaugh

Sarah_Jayne 03-03-2006 02:23 PM

last year they were selling a storage bench that was clearly a spanking a-frame style bench. If you look at Ikea carefully you can find some kinky stuff.
