SATA drives...worth it?
Need a new drive pretty soon, is there a noticeable difference between a 7200 rpm drive?

Not doing much gaming anymore, but I do pretty heavy video editing, if I could get even just a 5% speed boost in that realm I think it would be worth it.
Also just got a brand spanking new asus motherboard, p5p800 se, after going through 2 in a fucking year due to faulty wiring in my house (plugs not grounded) so the sata controllers should be at least satisfactory. |

they aren't any better, as the hd in most cases is not the problem with your pc being slow.

BTW a UPS will not really help that much if you have improper grounding or no grounding at all. In fact the more expensive models will not even be usable.
