BankOne/Chase declining all ePassporte transactions!
 

Holy shit, just got off the phone with the Loss/Fraud department at BankOne/Chase and they said they recently started declining all loads to ePassporte since "it is connected to 3rd party gaming sites"

i argues with them but to no avail... they told me i need to use a Visa card from a different bank to do be able to add funds to ePassporte

anyone else notice their bank declining loads to ePassporte? :mad:

Sounds really bad especially for program owners or folks who do very large transactions that are done with business Chase cards!

i know, apparently it's a new policy... maybe cuz of higher than normal CBs from gaming sites in general? *shrug*

can anyone else here try loading funds to ePassporte with a BankOne/Chase card?

and what does ePassporte have to say about this? surely they must know...

While I don't use those cards with epass, I remember when I tried to signup for a personal, Compass Bank denied all epass transactions. weird.

I'm happy as epassporte denied me to load founds from my european visa. Now they have it back!

I have a Bank one/chase card but I haven't tried loading it on epass.

i bank with bank of america and they seem to have no issues with epass.

kinda odd why bank one would be the only one....(that we know of)

either way i like epass and i use my card all the time with no problems :)

I must say that I'm disappointed that Chris would reply with "This is bullshit". Even in the event that Easton would be completely in the wrong, it does nothing good to epassporte's image to see such reply without any further elaboration.

a paypal clone for you guys in adult that worked as flawlessly as paypal would single handedly criple epass overnight.

The only reason epass and paypal have any customers is lack of competition. Give it time.

Some technicalities about PayPal and the adult thing but from what I have understood by PAyPal support is that the account is fine as long as it is not an "Adult" based transaction. I am doing services so I guess it does not qualify.

I won't spamspin this into a paypal sucks thread, google it.. perhaps lumping the two together isn't fair, but paypal is a POS too. they want the protection of a bank without the responsibilities.

Every single company in this history of business that has had that many users has similar complaints. I've had an account since it was x.com and I have had my money frozen twice. It was cleared both times. Paypal has so many users, so many options, and so much shit it would take a decade to overrun them in the market. :2 cents:
