I'm thinking that maybe this non-confidence thing will cause a shakeup in their roster. If they change out some people for some fresh faces I'm hoping they will be worth voting for, in which case.... well you're right.. they basically ARE the lesser of two evils.

The only surefire way to come out ahead in the next election - is to work at a polling station on election night.

I'm votin' Green Party, even if it'll wind up helping the Liberals win another minority victory. At least I'll still be able to bitch later that I didn't vote for either Harper or Martin.

I hope it will be another minority governement... things changes a lot during thoses terms.

When a party has been in power for that long, it needs a good oposition to shake things up a little bit ... without that, a lot more corruption / power abuse can happen...

The Canadian government should topple within a few hours.

I wish I was blind to this like so many other weak, ignorant people. Unfortunately I'm not. I'd leave the country but no matter where you go it will be the same, likely even worse.

If you're not Japanese I'd think twice about moving there. Unless you don't mind be discriminated against and not really being able to do anything about it. The goverment there is also vary hard-assed about Gaijin. You actually have to carry around a form of identification called a "Gaijin card" that transmits your information.

I'll never leave Canada.. Still the best place to be imho.. No matter who is running the show..

What great choices you have up there! I've heard the Conservatives are flaky on social issues and reminiscent of Bush (against free speech and porn), then you have socialists who want to tax everything that moves and spend like drunken sailors and bankrupt your country, or else a party that wants to seperate itself from your country.......or you can stick with a party so corrupt its akin to a third-world gov't full of kickbacks and pay-offs.
