RSS in action

Sure it looks like crap.... but Looks like there's HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of these RSS-generated spam pages each trawling for 1 to 10 clicks per day. However, if you add them all up... not a laughing matter. |

Bump for SE spam

I nice example of how not to do things.

In regards to good SEO practices on Google & Yahoo, why does a site using RSS not get penalized for duplicate content? I've never understood that.

I wish I could figure out wtf I was doing, lol... getting over 5k is seeming to be a challenge.

It all comes back to quantity versus quality. I don't think the owner is looking for bookmarked traffic. :) That site has over 60,000 pages in Google. It would take one day to build, zero maintenance and last at least three months in Google and prob longer in Yahoo and MSN.

Better yet, imagine the same but with READABLE and "real" text content written by dedicated writers hitting high value PPC terms. |

I think it may be that they penalize for duplicate content on one site. The whole purpose of rss is syndication so I doubt they would penalize you for using it. |
