TGPs Using Gallery Links From Other TGPs
 

Just curious, someone here or either at AWI mentioned a site "101lolitas" and how they were stealing gallery links and descriptions, well, just curious as to what the real deal is regarding this, I always though it wasn't cool to do...

I posted in regards to the guy who owns "101lolitas" selling his site on AWI <a href=http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=013834>on this thread</a> and I asked him about the gallery links,... needless to say it has started a small flame, which will of course deter any positive outcome of the thread, and Im just curious is it cool to use links from a tgp on "your" tgp...?

I dont see why it isnt cool to use the LINKS to put on your soite....if you use your own description. What is wrong is to steal the description....

Interesting I used some galleries from the huns pages to test my new TGP but it was only like three. Hope I didn't piss anybody off. Probably not because I only get about 100 hits a day

I had a few guys who used to steal my gallery list one guy I tracked down and he endup posting some sponsors banners on his site with my code so he could use my list in the end.
Now I encourage people to use it I even make it very easy for them to so http://www.mickspics.com/frame/ I think if more tgp's used the same gallery lists it might cut down on free porn.

If its one of my galleries being used by someone else then I don't mind. Hell, I'm not going to shove the URLs in anyones face but I'd welcome anyone to link to my galleries or sites. Send me the traffic and I'll sell memberships to it. :D
If other tgps took galleries from my own tgps, then I wouldn't mind either. I don't link to other people so all the galleries are my own. ;)

If I had a list of other people's that I'd taken time to reivew, check the code of, check that all the movies (or pics) are working, etc... then I wouldn't be pleased. :BangBang:

It is illegal to copy someones gallery section and pass it off as your own. The owner has to review those galleries & some little shit comes along and does as "copy & paste" 2 minute job a day.

If the owner has some system setup for people to use their galleries, that is ok. If you don't have permission it is copyright violation.

I have no idea what the law says about this but MY common sense says this.

Copying a few links to fill your need, is ok. But if someone copies the entire list of daily-checked 200+ galleries it's not ok. The time to check for galleries is just too much to give out free.

From the gallery builder's point of view, the more he gets traffic the better, he/she shouldn't care where it comes from, if they're valid visitors.

As a TGP owner:
I hate it when people copy my links, with or without my descriptions ... I spend hours to review them and then and other guy just comes by to cut and paste :feels-hot

As a gallery submitter:
I hate it when my galleries are listed on sites that I haven't submitted too, if you're on a free host you probably don't mind, but in the past I've seen my link posted on many shitty chinese or japanese tgp's sending me tons of BS traffic that can't even read my ads and just burn my bandwidth before I can redirect them to a dialer :Graucho.

Mostly I find my galleries that are/were listed at thumbzilla on those pages ...

There are options to get a shitload of submissions to your site in a very short period ... just get yourself in the tgsw or RS database ... ok you'll have to weed out the bad ones (about 90% :winkwink: )

If a gallery has 3 or 4 recips, which tgp gets to claim "ownership"? Maybe tgp #1 doesn't want anyone using
links from his tgp, tgp owners 2,3 and/or 4 don't care. And.. who knows where you actually copied it from, and how could you "prove" otherwise.

Also, clean galleries are generally submitted to more than one tgp also. You can also go down the list of galleries at whatever tgp and email the gallery owners and ask them if they mind, or even if they would mind submitting to your tgp, tell them they can even submit the gallery with the other tgps links and not yours (since that's how it would be if you just copied it anyway)

If someone is taking the descriptions that the tgp owner or reviewers wrote and posting them verbatim as his own work, then it's a definite case of copyright infringement. IF however, the thief is wise enough to change enough of the page up that it can be called deritive work, it's not a violation.

My thoughts have always been, someone took the time to review gallery check for tricks n traps op ups redirects etc.... then some Tgp owner comes behind you and snags the gallery for their tgp.

Also, not to sound too cheap here, but the last thing I need is a bunch of shitty tgp owners snagging nice gallery for their shit traffic. So I ONLY submit my gallery to PK, then some lolita fuck comes snag it and sends all his traffic to my gallery, its not worth it to me.

i don't like it when some b.s. tgp takes my gallery link from one of the major tgp's and posts it, particularly the tgps with the word "free" somewhere in their domain name. i tend to not post to any link sites or tgp's that have "free" in their domain name. the only way to avoid this from happening is to always post with recips.

and you can find in SearchEngines links to many galleries, many pages, and many xxx sites!

I think the key words in this paragraph here might be "ASSEMBLED LINKS."

As in taken whole not part.

I would love to see someone try to sue a tgp over copying the url to 3 galleries that have no recip on them.

The plaintiff would have to prove that the link (s) were taken directly from their site. This would be difficult unless the gallery owner for example only submitted his 1 link to the hun and named it www.ydomain.com/hun/gallery.html I think you get the point.

Even if the gallery maker submitted his 1 url to someone like the hun, jeez you think that the courts are going to care about a couple of urls? I doubt it very seriously.

Once again I do believe it would be different to cut and paste a tgp's entire link table or large portion of it anyway...but not if you grabbed 1 or 2 from the hun, 1 or 2 from pk and so on.
