Can you EVER get you're $ back from epass??
So a host charged me $279 on the 12th and again on the 13th. I told the host and they said the charge on the 12th was Voided.
I called epass and told him that its void and they said they need a fax (in writing) from my host saying its void. My host cmpany policy has it that the never send fax, ever! But they did it for me anyways to epass. After the fax i called epass today and they said their is no $279 translation AT ALL. Like the $ went into thin air?? I just hanged up on them! NEVER AGAIN! Now nor my host or i have the $. Its goneeeeeeeee! |
This is the 2ND time this has happened to me. Someone overcharged me $80 and i got him to send the fax. Again, $ went in to thin AIR.
|
I got another problem - I am out of US and can't get money out of epass - just 320 bucks each day.I can't get my money even I attack ATM everyday :pimp
|
Well, thats sucks 4 u.
But i am in the us. I did everything they told me to do. So its their falt, not mine. |
I dunno why the adult industry uses Epass... It seems pretty ridiculous, what with the high loading fees, their horrible support, etc..
I tried signing up once... their little 'credit card charge' to verify the account never matched up.. they said I needed to wait a week, and try it again once my username was removed... never bothered :) |
Bummer. You need to speak to someone else. Try Chris Mallick, he's pretty helpful. His email is: [email protected]

What about your host charging you twice? Your host is fine, but epass sucks?

I did everything epass has told me, by the book. Everytime someone overcharges me i just let that $ go? Samething happened to someone elce in the past. Im trying to find that thread. |
Threads like this, and the misinformation passed on make me laugh ... particularly tedwinters post questioning why the industry uses epass to begin with ... complaining about high load fees etc ...
There are costs associated with moving money. Period. Any real business person realizes the costs associated with moving your money. Compare Epassporte and the services they provide to standard bank wire transfers, cashier's cheques, and even sending cheques by mail, and then come back and remind us how expensive epassporte is ... Epassporte is a great service! Their telephone support is disappointing and unconsistant, I will give you that ..., but contact Shaliza by email, and she will sort you out. [email protected] |
You know what, fuck that $279. I dont even care anymore. I wasted 30mins on the phone listening to some crappy music while they put me on hold. :1orglaugh
|
That is, Sir, one of my biggest fears with using Epassporte for recurring payments... ;(!!... And as for Nydahl yes there is a max you can withdraw everyday but for me itīs safer than a check.

And their customer support SUCKS !!!!! They just keep answering the same bullshit to any of you questions like a trained monkeys. |
Their support is the WORST I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. Their phone support is completely scripted... and they seem to have no ability to assist in reversing transactions. I've lost a nice chunk of change to them as well. Epass :321GFY

I agree with some of your points, the $5.00 reload fee is bullshit, cost me 20 bucks to send $150.00, my bank does not charge me to deposit money. I can understand the 25 cents free per transaction. I would never ever have signed up for an epassporte account if the person i was dealing with would have had other means of payment. There CS is horrible. |

In most cases, the pending charge will drop within a few days and the funds will be available in your account. If this does not happen, the merchant has not dropped the auth and we need something in writing from the merchant to release the funds. If you have a question about your account, please feel free to contact me. Shaliza |
never had a problem with epass myself, most people swear by it.
|
so just tell your host NOT to draw any money next period
see it as a two month payment instead of one |

It took me 30 days to get my account set up and I had to ask people from epass that are here on GFY to things resolved.... Which it all worked out in the end.
The point that I see most making is this. We all know and understand your support sucks... why just not make it the best there is and loose the sloopy support. People only tolerate sloopy support for so long until they find something thats easier to use for the majority of them out there. For a few, it works just well. I'd place my money on something that has great service and no problems. |
I think its good that they have shitty support, I mean what if they were like paypal, start out with great support, and then when they get huge they start giving you shitty support.
At least this way there are no false hopes or expectations, you know right off the bat, the support will be shitty :thumbsup P.S. I actually like epass although their support does suck. :pimp |

He hasn't finished high school either. He also is a cheap bastard, because if he had gone with a decent hosting company, they wouldn't have charged him twice. |
EP is a convenient service in most respects and at least to the limited extent I use it, quicker and cheaper than the alternatives. But it does bother me that their routine support is so hopeless and that they seem to have zero interest in improving it. I have had a couple of issues over the past 2 years or so: they were both minor, yet it took Rand's intervention to get a useful response and that seems a crazy way to run a business.

Don't leave money in the account take it out as soon as you get it saves shit like this.

Im just surprised that their reps came to this board like everything is cool and dandy.
If they provide such shitty service I suppose they're not making enough coin or they're too greedy. wth |
Usually no problems with epass. But their cs is not as good at it should be... :)

I think that we have answered the cardholder's questions fully. It often times appears to me that some people are questioning our methods and slamming our nsupport for reasons that don't make any sence. This sometimes occurs when folks are trying to determin weaknesses in our security. This seems to be one of those times.
Thanks to all of you that support and use ePassporte. Of the hundreds of thousands of cardholders we serve, only a few have legitimate problems and we try to fix those ASAP. C |

The only time you get pending charges is when a merchant does not properly close out their POS receipts. As a CC merchant myself, I know that sometimes staff will put through pre-auth receipts as new transactions, either because they have not been properly instucted on how this creates the above scenerios and inconvenienvces to the cardholders, or because their friends are waiting for them in the car to go to a party or a club ... Pay-at -the-pump gas stations and restaurants are the biggest offenders of this sloppy closeout practise, because both only do initial pre-authorizations on your card, as the full amount is subject to change depending on how much gas you pump, or how much of a gratuity you give your server ... Yes ePass is VERY strict with holding funds in these scenerios ... but it is for YOUR protection as well as theirs! Getting used to this security does take a bit .. Rand will tell you how often I was on ICQ crying about this when I first got my Electron Visa and got my first PENDING charges ... I about shit myself, because there were 2 PENDING transactions the same day totalling more than $450 ... a fair chunk of change to have tied up for anywhere from a week to a month :( Whatever the reason, this is a fault of the MERCHANT, and not epassporte's. We cannot fault ePass for covering their asses. An ounce of common sense and making an effort to be careful how you use your ePass card, will save you alot of frustrations in the end. Know that when you Pay-at-the-pump for your gas, sure it is convenient, but walking that extra 50 steps into the casheir will eliminate the need for a $50 or $75 pre-auth on your card that could stay there for up to a month!! Also, when you are taking that cute girl from the gas station out for a nice dinner, stop at a MAC machine and grab a couple hundred bucks out ... A MAC machine withdrawl is alot easier to explain to your wife than a $160 debit from CHEZ PARIS -- especially when the wife knows you have not taken HER there for 5 years!! :Oh crap People are so quit to place blame on ePass, but in reality it is the merchants where you use your card who are at fault. We have become very accustomed to the convenience of using our cards everywhere, but going to a MAC machine and physically withdrawing the funds is still your best bet, and will reduce these pesky "PENDING" charges ... |
quit whinning.. epassporte is good. had some problems myself but they were solved fast.
|
I've had a few problems with them, and they were not resolved as quickly as I would have liked.. (I want my money NOW!) - but I can't complain about epass, they have taken care of me.
Just a  in the middle of a bunch of whiners. |
