I'll tell you this then, and all chathost know this. You have to be an ACTIVE chathost to make the 1% referral $ for sending them chathost. IF you are not a chathost you get nothing. If you stop working as a chathost and become inactive you stop making the referral money.

Let me guess, you stopped getting the 1% commissions off of them. It either just up and stopped or they allowed them to jump screennames and ditch your refferal.
They fucked a great deal of people on the host refferals, I can tell you that now. Though if you really want them and they still allow non active hosts to reffer people you will need to go through all of their age verification bullshit with the cam system just like a regular host has to do. :2 cents:

Problem is will76, when people like myself reffered them hosts no such rule was in place and it said you get the refferal money for the life of that chathost. Then latter on the fliped the tables.

How many corporation have a parent company (err webpower) and own several different companies (err ifriends, clickcash, etc.) Can i person at each company do the job of everyone at all the other companies... Just because i speak with someone over at clickcash does not mean that that person can handle ifriends related problems...

I always remember them having more models then they could use most of the time. The first i even heard of making any money from sending chathost was a while back when I found out it was 1% and was only to active chathost.

Where ws the model referral info posted when you came across it ? How did they know who to credit the referral money too, was it through your clickcash account, ifriends account, or a whole seperate account ?

I had to check 3 times to see if someone is bumping old threads. I know the 1% rule for active chathost has been in place a while. YOu just getting upset about this now ? So you sent chathost back in 97, how many of them you think are still on the site making money today. Most chathost come and go, very very few last for 4 - 5 years doing this.

No I was not a chathost.
Only terms were you created an ifriends account and then could reffer in chathosts. No more than one per address and they could not be working for you studio style.
The refferal was always in place though and you would earn 1% gross or 2% of what the host earned (same thing) after the chathost accumulates 120 hours of being live (this is not paid time, or at least was not at the time).
The model refferal info was posted in a box where the model would fill in her/his initial info when registering. It was not hard to do a pre-fill on this incase the model forgot or whatever reason.
The refferal id was my ifriends/clickcash account name. I am sure you are aware that if you create an ifriends account it also works at clickcash.
BTW that refferal is still in place over at ifriends, they just have really cut down the wording and it appears to apply to only chathosts now but it does not say active chathosts. :2 cents:

If this is the case PJ than GFY is not the place for you. Seek help from the FTC, and the IRS wouldn't hurt. However I hope to god you have something in writing that outlines the terms for this refferal commision. If not sorry for your luck chuck, there is nothing you can do.

It's been said a million times, and I will say it again. GFY will not take down anyone, however if someone fucks the right affiliate, and that affilite has proof. An audit of the sponsors books would not be out of the question, I'd love to see someone get their books reconciled by a govt bean counter. Once the govt figures out how the money works the heard will thin out and ratios will be better.

Ifriends almost pushed me to do this, just did not want the headache enough and compared to the time it would take versus my possible recovery I said fuck it. I have had programs piss me off before but none have ever gone as far as ifriends did.

Aside from non payment for refferals (just stoped on a few occassions). They were absolutely fine with hosts you reffered creating new screennames and ditching the old ones without moving the refferal with it. They were also ok with allowing hosts to move under other hosts that helped them out, again with a new screenname and using a new refferal name.

Its all there. Yes I contacted them in the past & they never wanted to release the cheques and wanted me to send Age verification, i did & still no cheques & today I called again and got enough of there BS & they told me my accound as been closed since february of this year, what a bunch of crap.

Ok same shit that happened with me.
First time I said ok and faxed in all the required paperwork and ids. checks resumed.
Several months latter they just stopped and I caught it during my monthly bookkeeping so I called them again. They told me I needed to go through the live camera age verification system, even though I would never be appearing on cam. So I figured fuck it I can do that to get my checks (was about 1k a week). I went through that process and it stayed messed up, each time I was revoked for some reason or the other. A month passed with me trying to get age verification to work using that cam and waiting for responses. Eventually it made it through, I then called in about the checks. They said there are no refferals attached to this username. Emailed proof back and forth for another month. Then I got the this account had been cancelled and we can not show that you reffered who you said you did.

Thats pretty fucked up right there...

I weighed my options and the legal expenses would just be silly compared to the potential gains. Been through enough lawsuits to know this plenty well.
Only reason I really considered it was just to use disclosure on their asses, yet I doubt they would go that far and just would settle which goes back to my initial remark. I would not be satisfied with a private settlement and a non disclose agreement. Yet the other side and fighting it out would be mindnumbingly expensive.
