BellSouth announced its next generation FastAccess DSL Xtreme 6.0 which will take DSL up to a 6 Mbps connection.

Damn, I wonder when that will get to the Philippines :( I am on T1 right now. Separate provider per office. We have 2 offices. Total bandwidth expense every month: $2000.

That's what I said when signing the contract. Blame it on expensive trunk lines... PLDT (the main phone co. here) sucks very hard. :helpme

My father in California has about the same speed on DSL and he only pays $39.95 a month. Infrastructure is very expensive in the Philippines.

BellSouth better wake up as they are losing customers to cable real fast. Especially to Comcast and Adelphia. On the other side, I thought BellSouth technical support sucked, well that was before I had to deal with Adelphia, when I ended up giving a tech class to the support guy and his supervisor :(

20 Mbps DSL is about $40/month here, and it includes some digital television benefits.
