wow, now i know submitters are in for some shit. Richards Realm just went paid submission today for 35 bucks a month. allows for 3 submits a day and listing is not guaranteed. Free submissions are still around, but only 1 submission per day and the daily limit was already reached. looks like you have to fork over the cash to be on richards-realm now. what a sad day for submitters...

Oh boo hoo. Looks like submitters will have to pay something if they want to make money. His site is not the first and will not be the last either. I personally find this to be a good thing.

I submitted my free site about 30 minutes ago and didn't notice any change. I haven't submitted my gallery yet, but if I can submit 3 galleries a day, I don't think I have a problem paying $35 monthly. Richard's lists me everyday anyways...

So let me get this...you submit more than 1 fucking gallery per day and are bitching about paying $35/month to do so...gezzzz

Sad day indeed, I just pulled the plug on our TGP promotion, more profitable angles to spend time on now that you have to pay.... $35 RR, $90 World Sex / Al4A, $49 Pink World, $10 Free Milf, etc etc, ends up around $500 + server bills, Sure if you can get 15-30 sales outta this you will seem ok, You forget you have to pay the kid that makes the galleries and submits them as well each day, which now makes it unproffitable.

Now with that said, if you own the program you are selling you are ok with some rebills, unfortunately this just killed every regular joe who submits for a hopeful $25 signup here and there...

Now only the big boy sponsors are left, soon it will saturate TGP's with all the FHG look and TGP sales will drop to even sadder conversion ratios.

Look at the top tgp's now, its all the same crap day in and day out... Those are just the paid listings thru 1-30, now with paid accounts...surfers are even more fucked with this move.....

$35 a *MONTH*? thats a little steep to not even have a guarenteed listing.
i'd rather pay $50 for 1 yr of submitting freesites to 'gold status' linklists.

eh, Im not against paid submissions.. however to say its been a free ride isnt true. Content + hosting + design of gallery + the work of submitting it isnt free. Even when TGP's dont charge money they still get fresh content every day for their site.

$35 is good and will weed out the newbs

I remember a thread about Pay to Play in 2001. The guy who made the post almost got laughed off GFY. Almost funny how time flies. We haven't seen the end of the changes yet. :2 cents:

You know, as much as TGPs have fucked conversion ratios in this industry it's about time they start to clean up and make some money in the process. Want to give away free porn for stray sales? Pay the price. If $20 to $35 a month to submit to the BEST TGP's makes it not worthwhile for you then that speaks volumes IMO.

I just had 2 recent movie galleries listed on RR and the traffic wasnt all I expected...

we've bought a lot of submit passes and we don't regret, exception made of a couple.

But I can see the flaw here, and it's purely maths (equals money)

1- Most average submitters won't be able to get traffic for galleries
2- Most average submitters won't be able to pay for submission software+submit passes+content+server bills+.......
3- In this scenario, submissions will drastically go down, so TGP owners will need to fill spots with FHG, but 99.99% of FHG sucks ball for different reasons (lousy designers, oversaturation, whatever). Hence signups will reduce drastically as well.
4- The excuse is to "weed the bad seeds". Well, this is the biggest flaw. He who is a pro cheater has the money to purchase these passes. The regular guys are less prolly to cheat or scam. Or they would be really stupid if after the cheating and scamming they can't even afford 35 bucks.
5- As we all know, TGP traffic quality is worse everyday, surfers have everything for free if they know where to look.
5- To add to all that, galleries aren't guaranteed. In other words: you're purchasing the right to click a button. Nothing else.

The way I see it, program owners should be very concerned about this, and maybe even pay the submit passes to their best affiliates (I won't charge you about this idea :winkwink: )

And a final thought: if TGP owners wants to go this way, they'll need to give 100% exposure to the listed galleries, not using the paying submitter galleries to rotate or skim traffic. Otherwise, you're very close to those "bad seed" you're supposed to fight with this. If I've my gallery listed, which I paid for, i want to see it for at least 24 hours in your site. And when I click on my thumb, with my content, supposed to promote something I planned for, I wanna see nothing but my gallery when clicking. Just my :2 cents:

This industry's changing, and only the playas will be left. You are starting to see the industry moving in this direction. This isn't news. You need to stay ahead of the curve.

I occasionally get rejected for "Not enough nudity." but 9/10 galleries of mine are listed there.

Speaking TGP wise if you have a problem getting listed on RR you suck. I can submit a gallery and same day get it approved ALWAYS.

You do realize that the people that KNOW how to make money on his traffic would get more of their galleries approved? RR going to paid submits is hardly a sign he will be loaded with FHG's in a month. :1orglaugh

$35 seems fair . . . they are pretty good about accepting good galleries
