Just got back from seeing Sahara.

Decent flick but very predictable....Even down to certain lines the characters use. I found myself saying the lines before they did on a few occasions.

Still....Not a bad way to kill a couple hours of boredom for a few bucks. :thumbsup

I bet it was better than Amityville Horror

pr0 04-17-2005 10:23 PM

i thought it was lame...except for the opening civil war scenes based on history

Nader 04-17-2005 10:24 PM

So wait til DVD?

Compared to the Indian Jones series, was Sahara better, the same, or worse?

Bigjohn 04-17-2005 10:26 PM

I read the book as well as several other "Dirk Pitt" sagas. From the previews and reviews I've heard it sounds like Sahara follows the book storyline pretty closely.

It was a good read, so I expect I'll enjoy the movie too.

The Jones series blows Sahara out of the water.

That pic is smaller than Juicy's pecker.

It looked kinda "formula" in the previews, but sometimes formula can be alot of fun. Might have to check it out.

spunkmaster 04-17-2005 11:01 PM

Not the best movie ever but not bad and it's worth the cost of the tickets :)

ytcracker 04-18-2005 12:09 AM

i thought i might check it out

theFeTiShLaDy 04-18-2005 03:36 AM

i've seen the movie on weekend and it's a very good movie...worth seeing i should say.

ModelPerfect 04-18-2005 03:46 AM

I liked it, even if it was predictable. "African military...ship of death!!!" [gives two thumbs up]

Wiggles 04-18-2005 05:27 AM

its got penelope, can't be too bad for the guys :)

Vitasoy 04-18-2005 05:29 AM

I think I'll catch it on ppv... when ever it happens

directfiesta 04-18-2005 06:40 AM

Enjoyable. Great scenery and photography. Nice locations.

It's a " tongue & cheek " story... and they reming you along the movie. Way better than a few of the last movies I saw ( Constantine, Hostages, etc...).

:2 cents:

Ive read all the Dirk Pitt books so eagerly await seeing this movie. Been trying to get it from Kazaa and other networks since it came out but no luck getting all of it yet. Just hope its better than the lame ass attempt they made of making "Raise the Titanic" into a movie back in the late 70's.

BradM 04-18-2005 08:11 AM

They butchered the book. Hollywood can GFY.

come on man, how could it POSSIBLY be better than the Indiana Jones series?

especially Raiders, those are classics.
