I think it's due to Tax Day!

I'm down quite a bit yesterday and today myself, both traffic and sales-wise

Sales dropped Saturaday, picked up Sunday level Monday and crap since then.

you guys need to relaxe if you try analyze your stats from day to day you are going to go insaine. No one can have their stats go up everyday. it's impossible. some days will be more some will be less, it;s a fact. blamming it on the economy, the weather, the day of the year, the holiday, etc... is an excuse.

Don't feed yourself excuses it leads to lack of productivity.

The fact is that there is just as many people having a good week at any given time as their are people having a bad week. If i had a :2 cents: for all the times I try to educate people on this.

You are 100% more in control of your stats then any tax day shit. If your off then you are off today. Instead of writing it off as tax day try to work harder, or really try to find the REAL problem if you are really down.

last 2-3 weeks sales are down 10 to 12% over here

I"m way down today compared to the past 2 days. Tomorrow will be better I'm sure.

last 2 days are horrible for me too and overall paid traffic results in big time losss duh

april sucks for sales (tax time) so im takin the month off to work on some other things (mainstream sites, more blogs, making templates, etc etc)

Come the first week of May, i'm pushing all new sites, buying a shit load of traffic and flooding the SE's with my shit lol :thumbsup

I'm getting twice the usual amount actually, shaping up to be a very nice Friday.

Sales suck for me as well.

hmm, traffic was up for me during the week.. and drops late nite. but good thing for uk traffic. they are only 5 hrs ahead :D

My sales dropped the day the Pope died and except for sunday has never picked up.This is across all my major sponsors.
traffic has stayed the same all up.
Either people aren't buying or epoch is scrubbing pretty hard for some reason is my guess.

per logic of the people in the room you must be "lucky" and all of your visitors already filed their taxes. I guess I am lucky too... good day for me as well..

flash in the pan, while i don't have 50K post here i think you are making some wrong assumptions here. I have been in this industry for over 6 years and have been doing really really well for well over 4 years...

There are no "normal fluctuations" in sales because of bullshit like taxes.

Doesn't matter how i talk to people, some people don't want to listen regardless.

Six years in the business and it seems you have learnt jack shit if you think there are no outside influences on the trends of sales.
I do mainly mainstream and I can tell you sales fall for most things at this time of the year every year.
But I also do enough adult to know that adult sales are also affected by outside influences.
It is actually quite productive when webmasters confer on these trends to see that they are trends and not the normal daily fluctuation.It stops them worrying about what they have done wrong and waste time on thinking what they have to do if they know that most peers are in the same boat.
I think I have seen you posts your stats somewhere and its obvious that your are a ppc man.
Me, I rely on free traffic so when I post my stats you know that it is mostly net profit and no employess help me earn my income.
This is my stats for Nastydollars this month.You can clearly see the downward trend.I also have comparable sales with Bangbros.Again the same downward trend of sales.

What happened on 4-6 WOW that was worse then tax day.. how do you explain that... something terrible must have happened that day? terrorist attack i missed ? Not sure if it was you but someone stated sales is down across the board with all his sponsors.. well lets see if your traffic goes down or quality of traffic or some problem on your end, wouldn't affect all your sponsors ?


I do purchase a good bit of paid traffic but i have more free traffic.

thats 100% of the problem and the wrong way to think. People see the post " sales down today" and the people with bad sales flock to it... so everyone convinces everyone else that they are having a bad day because of taxes. I wonder how many of these people have "real" problems they will now over look because they can just as easy blame it on taxes and take the rest of the day off.

How do you explain the other people who are posting here that they are having good days!!!!???!!! how do you explain that? Honesly, i dont give a fuck, keep thinking what you thinking, which is usually goes hand and hand with keep making what you are making.... i have to say that i agree... i watch the trends over time and believe thats all that matters. everyday is up and down and that is what is important... thinking about all the "why's" will drive you insane and at the end of the day, you are just guessing anyway and one days numbers is not enough to reach any sort of conclusion anyway.

If you cannot see a trend then you have wasted 6yrs of your life.
I also never said it was because of tax day.Though tax time of the year is definetly a possibility
