...Nobody Uses Netscape...
I was looking over 40,000,000 hits worth of stats today, and it showed me that the top 10 mostly used browsers are Internet Explorer versions 5 through 6...

Yeah i have super fast systems, and netscape still loads slow, and lags alot.

I agree, I used to take special care to make sure my pages would display well in nutscrape and IE.
But after reading some server logs I said fugget, its not worth the extra time. ------------------ Did somebody say Free Content? |
Tho it would be nice if pages displayed at all in netscape. I used both browsers for different things but I hate when I come across a site where the body of the page doesn't display in netscape.
No need for that. If it happens when I am reviewing I kick it back. |

Use Opera... fastest browser on the planet -- loads fast even on slow computers -- loads sitse faster than MSIE!!!
It also has an option (easy to access) to turn off popup windows... it also does email and bookmarking is very intuitive... I love Opera so much I even registered it... Opera.com ------------------

True, the newer versions of Netscape are inferior when it comes to browsing the web, but their mail reader is a hella lot safer than Microsoft.

IE6 + iwon.com as a start page makes things slow...and I'm on DSL

Time for the AOL/TimeWarner/Netscape community to come out with a seperate OS which is gonna embed Netscape just like M$ does it with their IE. They have enough money, why not spend some on development of a different platform ? Possibly a "mainstream" linux distro ?

with netscape, I have 1 in 39892 conversion ratio. Ofcourse, im a bit biased since bill gates is my cousin. |
