I know no movie is scary, we are all grown up, but if their was one
that would make you close your eyes, or lock your doors when you go to sleep, which is it?

I haven't really seen many that I can recall
If I had to pick one it would be texas chainsaw massacre, the newer one that came out a few years ago
I haven't seen the older one, not sure if that one is more scary


What movies would you all say?


I mean crap like jeepers creepers, and friday the 13th, that's corny not scary.


I am wondering if the new amityville house will be scary.

At the end, where the guy has to saw off his hand, the acting was so bad, the theater burst into laughter..We couldn't believe the bullshit we were seeing.

scariest movie for its time has to be The exorcist. as a kid i remember hearing about adult men and women running out screaming in the middle of the movie and people fainting in thier seats.

VH1 I think just ran a special on the scariest movies of all time. I need to rent some soon. It's been yearsssss.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre - New version was scary as hell

I was about to write how the Exorcist always makes this list, and I cannot for the life of me figure out why... I just don't find it the least bit scary. A bit gruesome maybe...

One movie that truly scared me was The Grudge, the recent remake. Hadn't felt scared like that since I was a kid...

I don't know what movie is the scarriest ever.... But the scarriest moment ever for me would be from Frighteners. When the ghost jumps out of the mirror I littereally jumped in my seat. I know it's a comedy, but I can't think of anything else ever catching me off guard like that.

i know i wanted to leave the theater in the middle of Jaws. I went to the bathroom and stayed there. after a few minutes my dad came to look for me and stood by the door for the rest of the movie telling me when it was safe to watch.

I agree ........Saw was great but its more like Se7en or Silence of the Lambs its a psychological thriller not a scary movie

Steel Magnolias... the scene where Julia Roberts goes into some kind of diabetic attack and her lips actually get like 3x bigger than they already are... Those images will haunt me till my grave.....AAAAAARrrrrrrggghhh (starting to sound like Chio the Pirate now)

That was a little bit scary, up until the point where the girl was running at the end and was breathing so loud you kind of wanted to slap her and say 'bitch no shit he will find you when you're breathing that loud'. While not incredibly scary, but just good, Dawn of the Dead - new edition, has my vote as one of the top scary movies just because it was all around good.

Its been parodied to hell but the 1st time you saw the 1st Scream. That movie was awesome. Opening scene with Drew Barrymore on the cell phone.

dont know that much abpout it except that its supposed to be unbelivably realistic ! The story goes that when charlie sheen saw it, he thougt it was for real, and called the police ! Then the people who made it were supposed to be copping so much heat, that the released 'guinea pig 2' 'the making of guinea pig 1' and sapperntly made a fortune... anyone seen it ?
