I like to watch alot of scary movies. None seem to give a real scare. The only one that has ever creeped me out was "Audition." That movie will give you some chills. This movie impressed me in so many ways. If you get a chance to see it. It will be hard to find it in shops but you can get it online. So check it out.

I haven't really seen many that I can recall
If I had to pick one it would be texas chainsaw massacre, the newer one that came out a few years ago
I haven't seen the older one, not sure if that one is more scary

What movies would you all say?

I mean crap like jeepers creepers, and friday the 13th, that's corny not scary.

I am wondering if the new amityville house will be scary.

The Exorcist
Physcho, the original by Alfred Hitchcock
Amityville Horror was pretty friggin good too.

As for my list:
The grudge (jap version)
One Missed Call (AWESOME from Takashi miike)
A tale of two sisters (SCARY AS HELL)
The Eye
Phone (korean movie, not bad!)

IceMaster 03-30-2005 01:39 AM

I wouldnt say that there are terror movies but Saw was a good film.

sean416 03-30-2005 01:45 AM

C-Bass 03-30-2005 02:18 PM

Hmmm....odd, havent seen anyone mention the 1st blair witch project.

That movie is as scary as your imagination makes it, so for me it was busted as hell!

Agnosticism 03-30-2005 02:25 PM

House on Haunted Hill... almost had to leave the theater but that was probably due with me going to dying and going to Hell and ending up in the emergency room a week earlier.

HpicAnn 03-30-2005 02:25 PM

The ring!!

I could barely watch that movie..I felt like vomitting half the time because of the shaky camera work...

Does anyone remember that TV movie Trilogy of Terror with Karen Black getting chased by Ugly, Uglier and Ugliest! That creeped me out for a long time! I hate the idea of things skittering around my feet. Especially, things with long knives!

err edit.
you quoted the right one, there was a second movie that was made for cable.

yuvalus 03-30-2005 03:04 PM

I'd go with "28 days later"

Michaelious 03-30-2005 03:06 PM

Carrie or the original halloween.

EROTEEK 03-30-2005 03:08 PM

The Grudge was pretty good, the sound effects really great, i loved that noises she made..... The Ring also... Blair Witch...

chaze 03-30-2005 03:09 PM

Wow no one has seen FACES OF DEATH

Nothing is scarier then those

andrej_NDC 03-30-2005 03:11 PM

psychological horrors are pretty scary, not movies with "monsters", those are idiotic, not scary

Holly Lez! 03-30-2005 03:11 PM

Saw was ok... More distrubing then scary... For me it has to have been the Exorcist, and I don't know why but back in the day Nightmare on Elm Street scared me and Pet Cemetary to... lol...

I would say the Blair witch project was scary,
but that is just because I only saw the promo that was like a documentary and really thought it was real stuff, that was really cool :)

bringer 03-31-2005 06:40 AM

ive never been scared of any movie, even as a kid
when i watch them i cant help but laugh, probably because i know the woman getting her head chainsawed off will be on the tonightshow tonight.
the only thing that ever scared me was an old episode of tales from the crypt
psycho escapes from prison, he kills a santa, dresses up like him and trys to get into a womens house while its snowing around christmas. i just happened to be at my parents cabin which is very simular to the one in the episode and it was night and snowing. all of a sudden a deer runs across the deck. :(

Nathan 03-31-2005 06:50 AM

Since I am in germany most of the time I get calls late at night when problems come up with a client.

So I watched The Ring (DVD) at like 1am. After the movie, I thought ok, not that scary... so I checked out the DVD specials and it has the actual movie on there as a special, so I started watching that.

After around 10 seconds, I closed my DVD player and said, fuck it.. I _BET_ if I watch this damn thing now, 10 seconds after it finishes I get a friggin call from the US and I'll just die.

That was the scariest I would say...
