Help Finding Referral URL
I've got an interesting referral URL in my stats - but it's just a www.somesite.com referrer URL - i went to the site and saw no link on the index page - any way i can crawl that site to see where the link was/is?
thanks |
fbi.gov? :1orglaugh
I get a couple of weird referring urls now and then its not certain that they clicked a link on that site to get to yours. But I am sure that there are people here who knows more about it than me so heres a bump for you :) |
I get some cases of those too.
I wonder if it is a proxy or somekind of hitbot. |
small chance of possibility is to check archive.org, or google cached results...
but also let it be known its a known tactic to setup spiders that will leave urls in your stats.. |
Also the possibility of the browser mistakenly passing the previous URL they were visiting as a referrer when they type in your URL or click a bookmark. I've seen this a few times.

Probably ref spamming
How many times did it appear? |
