Scamming Affiliate - Paysite owners beware...a PrivateIvy rant !!
Maybe I'm just venting , and then again maybe someone knows who this guy is or if you recognize his info you can avoid having this done to you.
Jan 3rd new affiliate signs up to one of my programs. Over the next week he sends about 100 uniques per day and gets 1 $89.95 signup per day for 6 days straight, which is when I started wondering and checked into how much traffic he was sending and from where. Of course I found that all the $89.95 signups were with Checks, and all using a hotmail address though they were all different info . Long story short, this fucker caused a total of $624.55 in returned check signups which were deducted from my check this week  So here's to Mr Francis Beaulieu or Mr Orland Robles who owns www.YoungTeenTGP.Net and sends traffic from www.YoungTeenTGP.Net/real :321GFY :321GFY his email addresses if valid are: [email protected] and [email protected] so please feel free to share as many emails with him for viagra, mortgage rates, cialis, or add him to your site newsletters and well...you get the point :thumbsup Thanks for letting me rant :winkwink: Ivy |
Wow, Ivy that sucks thanks for putting the word out.

ps; thanks for the heads up |

I hope like hell they didn't pay this fucker out on it and that they closed his ccbill affiliate account  Ivy |
it's not smart to have an 89.95 option available. ESPECIALLY on credit card transactions
|
Sorry to hear that Ivy. :(
Kick his ass! |
Thanks for the heads up Ivy, looking to see if he is on our program now.

I worked with the FBI on a carding operation being run through one of my programs. Pretty wild how good they are at finding people. :)
You should contact them. They may help. In my case it was a huge amount of fraud, and it was stolen cards, so the FBI was glad to help. |

Happened to me a few time out of Russia. The Russian affiliate was signing up with stolen credit cards and stolen checks and 75% of them were charging back within a week or two. After the third time instead of cancelling the account I just set his percentage to 0%. I'm sure he didn't like that..... :1orglaugh
XOXOXO *Krystal* |
That sucks Ivy, got the email addys. ;)

Bump for Ivy. This sucks. |
Checks are tricky business.
I have two check options: 29.95 and 59.95 and I risk manage all check signups. Statistically, good check signups go for the 29.95 and bad check signups go for the $59.95 - it's a great filter. Theives are greedy. -Dino |
haha, that would be great if someone went to his house!

Ivy I icq'ed you can you please reply
|
what a scam
|
Its good you were smart enough to catch it when you did.
I am just an affiliate so I am not sure how this works. It appears you have his info. If it is indeed correct do you have any legal options? Or is it simply not worth chasing? |
Way to be on top of things... so to speak
|
Wow Ivy that sucks. Good thing is though you keep on top of things and are always checking into things when you have suspect something. Lord knows how long it would have gone on if you had not been on the ball
|
i had one guy send about 3k in cc and all were fake a shit load of charge backs.
|
Checks are available only for US surfers and everybody with money in US have a cc in my opinion. Mostly frauders pay by checks. Now somebody will tell, that his check sales are 20%+ of his income, but fact is, check option means less cc sales and many checks are returned...

Thanks for the heads up, Ivy... that's fucked up!
|
Awesome heads up! I already added the name, and email to my blacklist!
|
man i hate all these affiliates using other people's checks and credit cards, if you have any ip's or payment info submit it to his local police and they can get it done faster than if you contacted the fbi or secret service

Not really since it is public information available on yahoo :- Ivy |
Yeah, checks can be problematic like that. Here is how we solved it:
We process through WTS and EC. I was noticing more of sufer abuse, than affiliate abuse. Surfers were signing up WITH checks and info like email address: asddfghjk [email protected] Now I think we all know this can't be a valid email address, Right? Well, I had to explain to the guys at another check processor that an email address cant have a space in it, nor is ".ccc" a properending. After about 5 minutes of arguing with her, she informed me that I was prolly wrong, and "this kind of thing happens". I then asked her to look up the name of that person signing up. Here is is: adsf8d oi (or something to that effect) Nice scrubbing you sons of bitches. I won the argument, switched the Check Processing, and now require a return email. Sales stayed about the same and I eliminated about 95% of the crap signups. |
