Those of you who use BANK OF AMERICA as your bank

What is their best business account, if you are doing alot of transactions? I'm curious as to which of their business accounts the big boys use.

BradShaw 01-28-2005 04:58 PM

Big boys do not use b of a. When they find out what you do, they will shut down your account.

freeadultcontent 01-28-2005 05:00 PM

Bofa hates adult with a passion. They will shut your shit down for just cashing checks that are from adult companies.

Brad, I know that BOA shut down Lightspeed's account a while ago, but have not heard of any other accounts being shut down. Who else got shut down?

Who do you recommend that is adult friendly, if there is such a bank out there.

damac 01-28-2005 06:03 PM

i have been using bank of america for all my banking since i started with adult sites in the middle of 1998, im in ca, bay area. i have never had one call from them questioning me about content, and they have never closed or frozen my account, or any deposits. i have deposited allot of checks with filthy names on them, lol.

Miura 01-28-2005 06:06 PM

They shut me down for cashing adult revenue. Closed my account with a 30 day notice. I don't like them at all. They have all the right in the world to tell you to get lost if they want to and its not illigal.

xclusive 01-28-2005 06:07 PM

I use them now but i'll be switching because I was with fleet bank before but they were bought out.

Miura 01-28-2005 06:10 PM

First Union national bank is real good. They don't bother you at all.

pushpills 01-28-2005 06:10 PM

TheMob 01-28-2005 06:14 PM

We've never had any bank accounts shut down by anyone, and we currently enjoy a very good relationship with Bank of America. In fact our regional VP was even at a recent Lightspeed party.

Steve Lightspeed

MikeXAMO 01-28-2005 09:39 PM

I'm with Steve on that one.. Banked with BofA for several years without a single problem.

abadfish 01-28-2005 09:47 PM

You are full of shit... Not only have I banked at BofA for 4 years with my personal money I have used them for my business as well... and CCBill also uses Bank of America!

Shoehorn! 01-28-2005 09:51 PM

I agree CCBILL is a little fish :1orglaugh

KRL 01-29-2005 06:34 AM

I've banked with B of A. Its ok but I found their customer service to be lacking compared to smaller regional banks that really go out of their way to get and keep you as a customer and give you more personal attention.

I'd recommend Wachovia over B of A by far.

junction 01-29-2005 06:38 AM

I am a satisfied B of A customer.

PersianKitty 01-29-2005 06:38 AM

I've had Bank of America accounts since 1990. All my business income is funneled through a business account there. Never had them bat an eye. As for their customer service, it greatly appreciates once you have a Premier banking account.

Really, any particular reason on why they did such? you know what happened to the funds on that account?

Jamie 01-29-2005 08:31 AM

BOFA care about adult?, rofl

You should look into BOFA's humble history, Adult doesn't even compare to the dark past they have.

xsivforce 01-29-2005 08:51 AM

No problems with BOA here.

GotGauge 01-29-2005 09:37 AM

BOA Premier Account here for 5 years!

TheDoc 01-29-2005 10:26 AM

All of my business accounts are with BOA. Only issue we have is some of the fees. We would move but it's not that easy to just up and move banks. We have webmaster checks that won't clear for months down the road.

BANK OF AMERICA BANS ADULT MERCHANT SILVERCASH

http://www.theadultwebmaster.com/news/030516_news.phtml
May 16th, 2003

According to SilverCash representatives, Bank of America refused to do further business with the company after discovering that SilverCash was engaged in business with the adult industry. SilverCash claims that the company at first was given no reason for being forced to leave Bank of America; after being persistently pestered for a reason, Bank of America finally admitted that they didn?t want to be affiliated with adult entertainment. The decision reportedly came from Bank of America?s main offices, as the local branch manager was said to be shocked to discover that one of his better clients was being pushed out. Fortunately for SilverCash, the company had a back-up banking plan in place and was able to continue operations with little fuss. There?s no indication how Bank of America determined that SilverCash was an adult company in the first place or whether a customer complaint was involved.
