i just found out that my site has been offline for about 24 hours. In that time i have lost about 300k of traffic to my site. when i tried to contact my host about this my site went online but my host guy went offline. could i get compensation or somthing for this?

Suck it up and be glad you weren't down for 48 hours instead.

I dont think anyone guaranties 100% uptime.
Tell him that you'll deduct 1/30 of your monthly bandwidth costs and see what happens.

if my host went down for 24 hours and they were't appoligising and kissin my ass like no tomorrow I would have a new host within the next 24 hours.

If it's back up now, oh ye of many names, why not post the URL to this 300k per day gallery...I'd love to see it. But if it says "terra" anywhere in the URL, I may choke to death on my own vomit, and we don't want that.
