You should see when the father was mowing the lawn this past summer. He just walked around in a random pattern. Then when the bag gets full of grass and the mower stalls,,,he thinks the gas tank is empty and pours more gas in. :1orglaugh

Now that's entertaining :thumbsup I like my neighbor much more, he's snow-blowing my driveway as I speak!! Very cool guy.

we must have the same neighbors... every year the same thing; until last year the old woman slipped, fell right on her elbow which cracked in who knows how many ways and she STILL has problems using that arms for lifting things... at least it's not purple and swollen 50x it's original size anymore...

how many inches are already sticking in LI? here on SI we have at least 1.5 inches stuck so far...

here in SD we just put sand from the beach in the grass for the hell of it

Remember those people (in the news) who wanted to fix their fuel line freeze-up so they tried heating up their gasoline in an open pan on a their stove? Needless to say they learned.

I never understood Pollock jokes until I moved in next door to my neighbors. The wife is constantly running the vaccum cleaner from 6am til 6pm, (that or walking around and playing the violin nude with no curtains). The husband is the worst though. He comes home each day and spends an hr vaccuming out his vehicle, then he USED to leave the doors part way open. I came home one night (shortly after I moved in) and said, "sir your door is open" as he was heading into his house. He said "its airing out" and I said, "the inside lights on, won't the battery go dead?" He insisted that he does it all the time, and no. So about a week later, there he is (middle of summer) out there with his wifes car trying to jump it. After that incident, he started PLUGGING it in everynight. Which I've since been told that this doesn't keep your battery from going dead, but keeps something from freezing and people only plug in, in the winter. (I'm not a mechanic, so was news to me, but its best not to share it with him). So a week later, he was jumping it again, so he came up with a new plan, now he rolls down the window's, and takes a TOWEL and puts it over the top of the door frame and closes the door, that way the snow & rain dont get in and it still airs out. Now, my concern is this, WHAT DOES HE DO IN THERE, than smells so damn bad? Another example of their sheer intelligence, a few months ago I'm smelling something burning, I thought my house was on fire. I run downstairs and look around, nothing, I go out back, and there's the neighbor running out of his house in his underwear screaming in polish (no clue what he was saying) and throwing a flaming toaster over the deck out into the grass. Then, instead of using the bbq tongs that were 3 ft away and plucking the toast out, he ran back into the house and came back out and he dumped a GIANT bag of flour all over the toaster, in the backyard. Oh, and as for sand, I don't understand it, but they poured sand all over the flower bed & around the trees in their front yard. AFTER the wife had been out there planting seeds & bulbs a few days before. Something tells me that Kids PLAY SAND isn't going to give them the same effectiveness as some nice Top Soil, maybe thats why all summer they had 1 lone sunflower bloom and nothing else. Glad, others have wacky neighbors too.

But it does work ...for a few minutes

This reminds of a true story years a few years ago. A friend of mine was on a work/study at a fire station (yes, he was studying to become a fireman) and they got a call in the middle of winter from some frantic Indian man claiming his house was on fire.

When they got there they found his driveway smouldering but thankfully, the house wasn't touched. They asked what happened and he told them (in a thick Indian accent of course) that the bloody-kiss-me-ass snow was too high and so he poured gasoline over this driveway and lit a match.

Unfortunately, the Indian man was unharmed.
