question to guitar players
If you had a 7 string dean Avalanche would you trade it for an Epiphone Les Paul with gibson pickups?
Here are the pics of the guitar. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...Picture010.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...Picture011.jpg |
Yes.
Don't let the LesPaul down its a great guitar :thumbsup |
Yes, yes i would.
|
Hell yeah. Nothing beats the tone of a Les Paul.
|
Epiphone Les Paul? No. A Gibson Les Paul? Yes.

HELLO PEOPLE he said trade it for an Epiphone Les Paul
Epiphone sounds like shit compared to a real Gibson even with decent pickups..... Keep the 7 string for what it is and buy a real Gibson Les Paul. Trust me I have played hundreds of guitars and own over 10 including a Gibson Les Paul. I would never buy an Epiphone |
p.s. Dean makes decent guitars for the money... I'll take it off your hands if you don't want it
My current collection includes... 1976 Gibson Les Paul Standard 1982 Ibanez Iceman Paul Stanley Model 1978 Ibanez Iceman 2 Peavey Vandenbergs Ibanez Jem Ibanez RG 565 with EMG pickups Washburn 6 string acoustic/electric Ovation 12 string acoustic/electric |
Not for an Epiclone Les Paul.
I'll stick to my PRS and my Strat. :thumbsup |

Shipping it to you would be killer :/ I like the Dean but I find it's lacking balls to the walls tone. |

Swap out the pickups ...... DiMarzio, Seymour Duncan, or EMG's should bring that baby to life |

i thought about that. not sure exactly what I want. The pickups in it now don't allow for much overdrive on the lower strings. ya gotta really crank the gain. Pickups prolly aren't hot enough. I got them set so the strings are almost sitting on the pickups, really kills the sustain. |
