Why are so many fat chicks obsessed with being fat?

I honestly love bigger chicks, but it's seriously annoying how most of them are completely obsessed with self esteem issues regarding their weight. And of the ones who aren't shy/introverted because of their size, quite a few display an extremely loud and obviously faked "confidence" or even arrogance?

What's up with that? What ever happened to big, happy, confident women?

No, but she's the latest expression of the problem. While smart boys like me and punkworld understand that the best luvin' you can get is lying between the smooth thighs of a meaty-mamma, the public attention* remains focused on twigs like Paris. I do my part, touring the country, holding seminars on the joys of chub-luv, but I'm afraid it's not enough.

as you may be smart, and one step ahead of those who look for only skinny women, consider me a genius :) the only thing that matters is personal preference, and from there on personality is usually 95% of the battle.

being fat is unhealthy and unattractive.. i can't see any reason to be happy about being unhealthy and unattractive.

my guess would be because big girls get picked on a lot, it takes a toll on their self esteem. A lot of white men are especially cruel to big woman, anything over a size 7 is usually considered fat.

i'm by no means skinny, last time i was skinny was 2nd grade, 3rd grade i had a B cup and hips, but i don't consider myself fat, i'm a size 12, 38DDD's and a 47 inch big booty, but my waist is about 29-30 inches, thats about a 17/18 inch difference between my waist and ass, so i'm more of a hour glass shape, then fat, cause i don't have a big stomach. But i'm sure there are a lot of people that would think different then me and call me fat. I've been called fat, but it just doesn't bother me, i don't know why, but it just doesn't. Maybe it's cause I get so much attention from men everytime i leave the house, i dunno... but one thing is for sure, topics like this aren't going to help big women feel any better if they already have confidence issues.

I'm with you on this one. Fat, skinny, in between, it doesn't matter, its all just a matter of taste. There is something for everyone out there, just go with what feels right, and really after you get past the initial attraction and looks, the rest of it is really how well you personalities mix and compliment each other anyway. :thumbsup

First of all, that's a damn nice ass :Graucho

I think you took my posts a little more seriously than they were intended. I tend to be a bit rude or offensive at times (some might call it being a complete asshole), but it certainly is nothing personal. The main thing I wanted to get across was simply that you shouldn't take what people say on this board so seriously... admittedly, the method I chose may have been somewhat counterproductive :glugglug

I'm not going to Vegas, but if we ever meet I'll gladly have a drink with you :)

because so many haven't yet honestly figured out that there are men that do like their size and haven't learned to say fuck you to those that give them a hard time.

killshot 12-24-2004 03:10 PM

I saw a woman on tv the other day going on and on about how she is proud to be fat and she isn't ashamed of it, she is who she is blah blah blah...

then she went on to admit she had just had her stomach stapled

HA

Anyways.. There are fat people and there are skinny people
Nothing wrong with any of them..
I dont mind a little meat on a woman myself..

But if someone is too fat... obese.. i look at them the same way i do a smoker, an alcoholic, a drug addict... I think they are someone who doesnt care about their health.. and that is unattractive.

The reason we chubbys have problems with self exteem lies within society being so obsessed with "thin is in". We have to get clothes that our grandmothers wear because they just dont make the clothes we would like to wear in our size.

Its rediculous how our society looks at people. Im glad im married and not in the dating scene anymore.

It's not uncommon for their being fat to be a direct result of their self esteem issues, it's a side effect rather then a physiological condition.

I would rather society society project a healthy body as an ideal then an unhealthy one. Consider most of the top paid porn and movies stars. They're not "twiggy", they're carrying close to the most healthy amount of muscle and fat.

That seems pretty unlikely to me. It may hold in some cases, but in the far majority I think emotional eating isn't the problem, but rather bad eating habits, bad workout habits and a slow metabolism. Most people I know who are fat already were heavy when they were children.

Do you think people who thought well of themselves would have bad eating and exercising habbits?

Possibly, yes. I think eating and exercising habits depends more on upbringing than on how you think of yourself.

"BAD" ???

You make it sound like we're talking about absolute standards of health here, rather than about highly subjective and highly variable AESTHETIC standards. You need only shut off the TV, burn all the Vogues and Elles and Cosmos, and vsit any of the world's fine art museums to see how recently the ideals of female beauty have come to resemble what even our grandfathers would have called sickliness, malnourishment and ugliness.

When we're talking about bad eating habits and bad workout habits, we're not talking about aesthetic standards, but rather medical ones. If habits will likely cost you several years or even decades of your life, I think they can safely be considered bad.
Ofcourse, these health standards aren't followed by the typical anorexic fashion model either.

I would rather our model of "beauty" be a healthy individual then an unhealthy individual. Please read my previous post about this matter.

As far as "bad" eating habbits go, yes BAD. I think it is a BAD eating habbit to eat a bag of Doritos in one sitting. I think it is a BAD eating habbit to go through a 2 liter of soda a day. These are all things that the "average" American does and they are indeed BAD. If nothing else, the rising numbers of type 2 diabetics and heart disease patients confirms that it is a bad trend of eating. Anyone who truly cares about themselves would take better care of themselves then do any of the above mentioned things.

I agree with you 100%. The problem is our methods of MEASURING health have come to include a number of visual cues that, by themselves, do not necessarily indicate an unhealthy state. I know lots of women who are "healthy" according to blood tests and other "image-agnostic" measurements, but who still suffer the stigmatization of a society that has lost the capacity to see healthiness in all its possible physical forms.

I think many people are simply uneducated and don't know the extent of the effects this has on their health. Remember, many start it when they are kids.

I know it. Nutritional education in school is almost completely non-existant. They point to a chart of the food pyramid on the wall and then send the kids to lunch, where they are fed pizza, french fries and soda.

"The good old days"? Not only no, but hell no.Paris Hilton is not the standard for desirability. Just look at the best paid actresses and porn models, they are not toothpicks, they have just about the optimally healthy amount of muscle and fat on their bodies.

True. Toothpick is a little extreme. I just think it would be nice if voluptuous bodies were more common in mainstream and porn movies
