What Jesus Might Have Looked Like (pic)

This is a facial reconstruction based on the skull of a man from Jesus' time period and location + other historical factors. It is believed to be the closest re-creation of his actual appearance. Pretty interesting I thought.

Entropy 12-22-2004 07:45 PM

BTW, Doesn't it kinda look like a mugshot?

reynold 12-22-2004 07:48 PM

dude i can't see it. :smokin

Lane 12-22-2004 07:48 PM

cant see attachments

Libertine 12-22-2004 07:49 PM

Obvious bullshit. Not everyone from the same area/period in time looks alike (for proof, go outside and look at actual people), so reconstructing what a person looked like based on such factors and the skull of someone who lived in the same time and area is absolutely ridiculous.

(I'm not saying that you're lying, just that the scientists who worked on this need to be castrated for total incompetence)

I totally agree. They used other factors such as the image on the Holy Shroud, but I think it was done to show the general features he actually possessed as opposed to the light brown haired, blue eyed, Jesus that is usually depicted.

Also, the average height of the race at that time was around 5"1. Add that to the fact that he was a carpenter until he was thirty or so...he was a stocky little midget fucker...Not the tall, lean Jesus we imagine...

You are DEAD ON on this one, punkworld. The Middle East has seen tons of cross migrations both from Asia Minor, Africa, Arabia, and even from the Greek Islands (Hyksos or sea peoples).

Warden 12-22-2004 08:25 PM

Wait, I thought this is what Jesus looked like.

colpanic 12-22-2004 08:49 PM

I suck at photoshop, but that picture is SCREAMING for juicy's eyes/eyebrows from that pic he posts all over.

Help me out :)

Rinaldo 12-22-2004 08:51 PM

ironlung 12-22-2004 09:51 PM

True that.

Entropy 12-22-2004 09:54 PM

What if Jesus is really a spitting image of the midget on Fantasy Island?

You do realise they also portray him as Asian in parts of Asia right? Every culture/society has created God in their own image. This is nothing new.

Christians in Asia have to be a rarity...

Greg Jacobson 12-22-2004 10:01 PM

He looks like my neighbor.
