like they say, just go in there and say that you hate lawyers and that you beat one up when you were a kid and they'll dismiss you

I am on call this week,so far nothing but if I have to go I will just sit in the box a yell out KIll KIll KIll.... I think they will let me go home.

I never open the damn things. Can they prove you got it? If they can, they better have my sig on file with a certified letter receipt.

Basically, if you don't want to go - don't! It's that simple.

I just had jury duty in the end of october. Took 3 days. Paid better than that, but not much, lol.

Just act like you are biased...then they will find an unbiased juror to take your spot.

If you get picked on the first day or else you wont have to hang around :)

go serve its your duty as a citizen

During the jury-selection questioning by both sides for criminal cases, I usually tell them (truthfully) that I was an Army officer who sat on many courts-martial cases, and that I've come to feel that no case goes to trial unless the trying agency is certain that the defendant did indeed commit the offense---this gets the attorney for the defense to pre-emptorily dismiss me.

For civil/law suit cases, I mention how upset I am that I have to sit through a trial just so some plaintiff can try and squeeze some money out of some defendant; then, I rant about lawyers clogging up the court and citizen's time with their frivilous money-making baloney law suits! Plaintiff attorneys then ask for me to be excused from that case!

I wouldn't mind doing jury duty for a week or so, seems like it would be interesting. As long as its a short and crazy case. :glugglug

That's one way to get out of jury duty! Wish I would have had such a great excuse when I served this last summer. It was only one day though - not too bad.
