As for the other pics...The surfer girl pic you just posted is actually the following pic taken with a 200mm zoom. I honestly can't say for sure how far out she was but I would guess about 100 yards or more.

Awesome pics. I now know what camera I'm getting next. Hopefully the camera will make up for my lack of photography skills.

By the way, in the first pics, was that guy running from the beach and jumping on the board on the shore break. If so he must be in a wheelchair now after landing upside down. :(

Nice. I need to look into some filters for the D70. I know I could do it later in PS, but I want and need to learn to do it in the feild. I really just have no excuse not to know how to do some of that stuff now...lol


I've never asked before, so now might be a good time... What kind of camera are you shooting with? That kind of zoom (post processing) with that kind of clarity looks greater than 10 megapixels, so naturally I'm curious now what I am missing out on...lol
