Quitting smoking

:thumbsup

Want to know why?

Last night I spent 9 hours puking stomach acid and blood from my stupid habit.

I dont have any life threatening problem, I know it.. the chemicals in the smoke were causing big problems. So after 8 years, it finally hits me

SuckOnThis 11-16-2004 04:38 AM

Dude, if you just spent 9 hours puking up blood it sure the hell aint from smoking.

SmutGiant 11-16-2004 04:38 AM

good for you man! I hope to join the non smokers club one day soon :)

bryany 11-16-2004 04:41 AM

Congrats, Its been 2 months and 2 days since my last cig!

You can do it! :thumbsup

dozey 11-16-2004 04:42 AM

Damn, good work on quitting. I could was always too lazy to get addicted. Whenever I actually wanted another cigarette the petrol station or corner store was too far away to justify the effort.

Fake Nick 11-16-2004 04:43 AM

I am on day 11 without a smoke :)

DennisK 11-16-2004 04:53 AM

My last cig was about 1 hour ago.
I am not sure if I am going to make it :winkwink:

If you spent 9 hours puking blood, smoking isn't the reason. You probably have some fatal illness, and it doesn't matter anymore if you quit smoking or not - you'll die anyway.

Platinumpimp 11-16-2004 05:22 AM

I'd visit a doctor asap dude, not to worry you but about 5 years back an acquiantance from my dad who smoked about 20 years started puking blood, and 3 months later she was dead :(

Lung cancer :helpme

I'm going to quit on Nov 25... 1 day after my birthday. I have quit for a year before... Go read this website and it will help you quit. Its very very interesting and will make you discusted that you smoke and teach you about your cravings and what makes them work.. pretty awesome.

I had to quit looking at the site I would have quit then. Waiting to read the whole site til the day or so before I quit.

Babagirls 11-16-2004 07:30 PM

NoCarrier 11-16-2004 07:31 PM

WTF?! Puking blood? Go see a doctor ASAP.

Spunky 11-16-2004 07:33 PM

Sounds like it's too late..your going to die soon :(

Icon 11-16-2004 07:41 PM

I am despretly needing a smoke right now. I'm a hurt bag

NB: puking blood is bad. like "Go see a doctor" bad....or maybe a nurse...

strats 11-16-2004 08:11 PM

Haha. I wont start smoking again unless its in a few years after my lungs heal.

Im just noticing what my lungs actually feel like, and they are saying 'let me rest please'

I also am semi scared because lungs shouldn't feel like this :helpme

but I could never feel them b4 ><

Maybe I will find something fun to do (that is another one of those 'never b4' type things) I think I will go outside for some fresh air here soon. I haven't ever had any identification with that thought. Just did. And am actually looking forward to going outside for a walk in darkness and snow. also im out of tonw, so the air is fresh. I'll still pack my 9 tho.~ never go anywhere without it. :thumbsup

strats 11-16-2004 08:13 PM

another thing that is kinda cool

I just felt my legs

*pathetic, sad, and semi stupid I know.

But I tell ya, feeling you're own legs and ass is worth it/I suspect I may be in for something big

Icon 11-16-2004 08:13 PM

what do lungs 'feel like?'http://www.viewaskew.com/gallery/ima...rks/jaysb1.jpg

I want to quit bad, I am down to a pack a day.... It is tough with this job :[

strats 11-16-2004 08:30 PM

I feel my lungs full of stuff. really not a pleasant feeling :(

I also feel cancer cells, the red blood cells, the healing process, all of it. I sure fucking hope (and fuck you) that I quit in time. I know 8 years may have been short, but I definetly wasn't easy on myself.

strats 11-16-2004 08:32 PM

Now I want a cigarette partially from clicking on this post after a ncie rest, thanks guys, ur twisted palate truly is inspiring :thumbsup ... semi ~ :321GFY

Lol. My birthday is on the 24th as well. I quit about 8 months ago after being a smoker for 10 years. I used Nicorette gums, makes it much easier.

This Statement alone brings me to beleive that you are not serious and will relapse at some point in time.
If you wake up puking blood its a pretty fucking good sign that you shouldnt start up anytime soon!
Thats if you make it out this time alive and healthy without any repercussions down the line.

Think about it

:2 cents:

Bigwilly 11-16-2004 08:48 PM

16 days for me since i smoked pot, but im sure thats nowhere as addictive as cigs
