Why don't surfers join your site?

Maybe because you give too much away for free.

I'm talking about all those free hosted galleries and the like...

Affiliates just post them up and submit them every where.

The surfer comes along and gobble gobble... got off for free.

If you say that affiliates don't have to use all the hosted content... the surfer has a pretty good idea how to increase the gallery number from gallery5.php to gallery6.php

So... It's an honest question...

Why do Sponsors give everything away?

Nubiles... every week at least 15 galleries of one sort or another.
Bruno has over 100 in the master list, though an affiliate does have the opportunity to create a gallery rather than being lazy and just posting Master 1 - Master250. Diesel the same thing.

I don't have the money shot in my FHGs... only thumbs.

I limit the amount of content given to affiliates.

I mean... is it too hard for a sponsor to have gallery numbers that aren't sequential... or to have gallery builder that sequential numbers...

porn has always been like parking, if you want it enough, you can find it for free. but for ease and convenience you will pay for it.

Most surfers are idiots, the people who are sharp enough to click gallery1-250 arent the type of people that will pay for porn in the first place, if you made it harder for them they'd just go on the news groups and edonkey.

The best way to make money is with a QUALITY product, make a site that offers ease and convenience, some place with DOWNLOADABLE high quality movies, no consoles to navigate streaming archives. make the jpgs full size (when youre paying , no picture should be < 1024x768) .

You guys are living in the past. BW is cheap, and exclusive content is moving in. Offer high quality video downloads of exclusive content and you will be fine. You'll never erase free porn, so stop wasting your time.

There's so much free content from Nubiles.net that I have been able to get off for free on at least a dozen occassions :)

All a surfer has to so is google something like "www.domain.com/nubiles" "girls name" and they get about a hundred galleries all to do with their chosen girl, from 20 different affiliates. Then they can download a thousand pics and four videos and there you go - no need to join.

Ironically, nubiles is one of the sites which appears to be surfer friendly. If they limited the number of FHGs then they would get more sign-ups :2 cents:

There is actually a way around all this but I'm not going to tell you what it is :)

I just think a marketing stategy designed to make money is a better idea.

Sure... you are making money now... but how much are you losing out on because your FHG system can be exploited?

Or that the content in the FHG is so explicit that the dumb ass surfer that was lucky enough to know how to "Google It" got to your site... or more often than not... a tgp.

They don't even come to your site man... They get the goodies and split.

I think that has more to do with the source of the traffic.

Exclusive content that also updates on a regular basis will make them more likely to buy.

Porn surfers have been around longer, they have figured out how to get what they want for free. They usually don't buy, they just know where to go to get what they want. The numbers of those people keep increasing. The trick is getting people who don't know the system yet and get them to sign up.

Not only that but to build/promote something different that will catch even those who surf free.
As well, single girl/real amateur and cam sites make money because it's worth paying to talk to these people and be a part of their life, or them yours, however you want to look at it.

Those who are happy with 15 preview pics and a few 10-30 clips will never sign up for a paysite anyway.

My point is that Sponsors should cut down the amount of free content given to affiliates and start to "tease" the surfer rather than "expecting" a join.

If sponsors were to start not including some type pictures and video in their free content, they will be ahead.

Even if sponsors had a gallery builder or numbered their galleries in a way that the common surfer couldn't just up the galllery number would be a great improvement.

Affiliates will make more money.

No one has to worry about 2257 except the sponsor since the fhg pictures would not be so explicit.

The surfer would join because they are tired of seeing the same o' shit on the new boards and actually go to the site and take a look at the tour for a change.

Ok here's a fact the average surfer these days is not like those of even a year or 2 ago. They are smarter and can distinguish between what is good and what is crap. You have to make sure you have the quality of girls and a great easy on the eyes design. If you have those 2 things you will always do great...

If the average member jerks off to 2 sets a day and wants to jerk off 5 days a week thats 10 exclusives a week. Who's got $5,000 a week for content?

The trick is to give people a good enough deal they do not want to be shunted around the free porn areas. Let's face it we sell porn at $1.00 a day.

As Seth said you have to make it so good they will pay $1.00 a day to jerk off until their dicks drop off. Problem is some do not know how to supply the product.

Look at what you're supplying, does it fit the needs of the customer or the needs of the sellers?

You're right, teasing would work much better in my opinion, but not the way they do it now.

Sponsors give away a ton of shit content to use for promotion, use the same tired pics for free content and hosted galleries, and go as far as making new galleries with content that's been used already.

I think it would work much better to give away a very small set of the best pics they have, some softcore, or some content that's censored.

Now I already see a problem with this.. tgp and link lists.. they are in my opinion at the root of the problem.

Sponsors have the affiliates best interest in mind because that benefits the sponsor.. tgps and link lists don't, and are at odds with their webmasters. They won't accept content that's overused or old because they want bookmarkers. It's a no win situation for webmasters and for the industry as a whole.

How to fix this? I wish I knew.. the industry runs on survival of the fittest with no real rules.. no government intervention.. until now.. I had hope when I first saw the proposed changes to the 2257 laws.. but now, I don't know

It's an open market and webmasters do what they think it will make them more money. In order to change their way of thinking you need to put on table different approaches, but why would you bother?

The problem is, people need to know that you offer a good deal.

Many sites are junk.

It could be a problem of where you are sending the traffic and the traffic you are sending.

For instance if you are usng our content are you send the traffic to a site that reflects what we shoot?
