I want to go for hollidays there and I am just wondering about that strange country.

Why do you want to go on holidays there?

I like to visit new countries.

that it's smack right somewhere russia. how's there tourism over there? you speak any lithuanian,russian,polish for that matter?

The only exposure I have to Lithuania is a cohort that used to get tools built there from American designs, he had been all over the world but was then planning his dream house there, the idea of all these platiunum blondes running around all the time had a real twinkle in his eyes. :thumbsup

I know there was a dumb lithuanian in todays local news here :)

I don't know if they are all as dumb as he , but here is what happened

this lithuanian guy was breaking into cars wearing a white doctos coat stealing car radios, he got about ten of them , a person living nearby saw it and called the police , by the time the police was there the guy was gone , and the police had no direct way of finding him, unitl an "innocent" passer by came to the police telling them he saw who did it and that they fled the scene

the innocent passer by was wearing a white doctor coat and his hands were bloody because of the broken windows , . .....

The Soviets invaded the Lithuania 75 years ago and slaughtered the intellectual elite. It was temporarily liberated by Germany during the war. That's all I know about the place.
