I want a new FTP program, which is the best one?

Freewares only, I'm not paying for one.

Well, since it seems that everybody have a different opinion could you guys post why do you think the program you consider best is really the best one?

i use secureFX, i didn't pay for it, but i don't think it is free.

I still use the simple program WS_FTP95 which is free for personal use, but Smart FTP is also freeware and has more features.

Recommended a couple of times already here: http://smartftp.com - this is a great FTP client imo.

its fast, easy to change between pasv and normal, and has good file queue's. its also multithreaded so you can be uploadingg/downloading large files and still do other stuff on the same site.

www.shareaza.com is pretty good. They have a nice free prduct called WSFTP Pro. Check it out.

I like FTP Explorer. It's pretty basic, but it does the job.

Win SCP is the best ever.
it doesnt do ftp, only sftp and scp but most servers have ssh on it and therefore are supported.

it may only be good for geeks like me but its the best software i've found.

Yeah if your going free then this is a good one! Never had any problems with it losing conection. Got a lot of features for a free FTP program!
