Need billing, don't have a US company, what do I do?

I need to setup billing for a paysite, I'm located in Canada and don't have anything in the US, how can I set something up and with who should I go with?

I've been doing everything but paysites, so I'm not sure how to go about setting up billing, any help is appriciated.

Thank you.:)

You can use Verotel.

JakeR 10-10-2004 08:01 AM

you set up a US corporation and take advantage of cheaper processing.

I will need the money sent to my Canadian address not the US corporation address, is that possible?

cool, so what exactly do you need in the US? a corporation and a physical address? do they send you anything or call the physical address?

Kevin2 10-10-2004 08:13 AM

You need to have a social security number, corporation and physical address. There are different packages they offer to setup a corp for you. The best is to check out a few of them and compare what they offer.

Set up a Nevada Corporation. Use a virtual office with mail forwarding.

I use nikro billing. I don't use billingdirect cause they are too expensive. Nikro billing has been a great company since I started using them. They've been great on customer service and getting me setup fast when I first signed up with them.

I have CCBill as my backup. I switched from iBill to Nikro Billing a couple of months ago. iBill compared to Nikro Billing is night and day. Never looked back. My rebills are gone from iBill I guess, but haven't had any problems with Nikro Billing. All emails are responded to in a timely manner and I can always get someone on the phone to talk to about something if I need to. Nikro Billing has even added some features that I requested. They want to keep their customers, so they are very one-on-one.

At least that has been my experience. I haven't sent any customers through CCBill yet. So I can't compare them both.

Goonx:

If you need a processor in addition to Verotel (and you do!!! *s*), get a Euro corp.

You can then deal with CCBillEU and any processor in the EU banking region. A basic corp (not Euro "offshore") costs less than any North American VISA fees and no VISA fees apply in Europe.

Check out eg.. a UK non resident company
http://www.jordans.co.uk

Nominee dirs and a "presence" are other options. Tax exemption from all UK taxes is available and no chance of any withholding taxes applies as with US corps.

xclusive 01-07-2005 09:37 PM

CCbill is the way to go

Hinc 01-07-2005 10:31 PM

Nikrobilling charges 20% + 5% hold on transactions... that seens like ALOT

Hinc 01-07-2005 10:33 PM

...oh and escommerce is - 13.75% + 49usd monthly managament fee.

I am not sure how many surfers would be willing to provide the following for 123bill.com
"We collect your full name, date of birth, address, phone number and your Social Security number."

Billman 01-09-2005 09:40 AM

You can use CardsGate .

Hinc 01-09-2005 10:24 AM

Social security number is a lame thing to demand from surfers....

ntpay looks expensive...

iŽd still go for verotel and ccbill

lottrbacchus 01-09-2005 10:50 AM

couldnt be bothered to read through all the stuff. my company is in central europe and we use ccbill

DutchTeenCash 01-09-2005 10:55 AM

ccbill EU works fine :)

Kimmykim 01-09-2005 11:02 AM

You can set up your own merchant account in several different regions, depending upon where you want to start a shell corporation to establish a presence. My suggestion would be Asia, since the merchant accounts there are capped at a 2% chargeback allowables ratio, instead of the 1% the US region is bound to.

ICQ me if you need any help, I'll be glad to walk you through things.

I would probably go the route of the UK corp or Gibraltar so you take advantage of EU Paycom although the 2% chargeback Kimmykim mentioned would be mighty appealing.

vicki 06-23-2005 10:06 PM

Goonx

It is NOT necessary to go through the cost and bother of setting up the US based corp when 2 of the 3 local banks are taking no new apps due to heavy fines from visa.

You can take an EU solution, Asian or Island solution for almost the same discount rates (approx 6.5-7.6% depending on your specifics)
no incorporation costs for some of them
no setup or app costs for many

There are sooo many options available nowdays IMHO it would be in your best interest to talk one on one with a registered ISO with several different of banking solutions at their fingertips.

I'm here is you want to talk :)

vicki 06-23-2005 10:38 PM

lol boy did I make some grammar/spelling errors or what?!

*looking around* ok who switched my keyboard? lol

PS yes, I really speak english ;)

spooky181 06-23-2005 11:06 PM

It's Verotel hands down they have been awesome for us for the past 4 years.. :thumbsup
