What's the most pain you've EVER been in?

I've never broken anything, so I don't know what that would feel like, but about 10 years ago, I had a sinus infection so bad it felt like I was gonna die. Frankly, at the time, I'd have been just fine with that too.

My head was pounding like someone was hitting it with a sledgehammer. The pain was so bad I couldn't sleep and had to have a pail at my bedside so I could just roll over and puke.

It was nasty. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Now whenever I get a MINOR sinus infection, I get nervous.

Manowar 10-06-2004 02:41 PM

having a fat guy land on my chest while i was napping, it felt like i couldnt breathe for a good 2 minutes. Thought i was gonna die.

I never forgave that fucker

had my knee cap push completely around to the back of my leg and destroyed my ACL...the pain was so bad i HAD to push it back to the front myself to relieve the pressure

mindoza 10-06-2004 02:46 PM

I ruptured my large intestine..after surgery my blood pressure fell so they stopped giving me pain meds for 24hrs..I screamed for a while passed out from the pain and repeated that for 24 hrs.

just thinking of it gives me the chills

I thought the most painful story for the average gfyer would be like: "I once fell off my chair while eating a cheesburger at wendy's"

Jensen 10-06-2004 02:48 PM

when my left achilles snapped 4 years ago.. was in the army and boy these people are clueless and wanted to check out how it felt.. when I finally made it to the ER, intern after intern walked in to check out what that was all about.. they have a checklist to figure out if is has snapped and basically squeeze it hard to figure it out..

two pumonary embolisms last week. was on 25 MG of morphine every 2 hours. almost died.

radical 10-06-2004 02:53 PM

Testicle infection, tubes got tangled, couldn't walk for a month :(

chase 10-06-2004 02:55 PM

3 c-sections...the last one after two weeks of labor, which did nothing but hurt b/c the baby was nicely lodged sideways in my pelvis.

still good to see that it was "almost" and not "finally".

When my daughter was 3 she broke her collarbone at daycare.

She went the whole day before anyone noticed and I was pissed off.

Then my wife told me that when she picked her up, she didn't notice anything was wrong either, until she picked her up under the armpits. Then she howled in pain.

But she went the whole day without so much as crying. Kids are tough.

PenisFace 10-06-2004 03:12 PM

My dad and I went on a bikeride when I was 5 or 6, we were riding down this trail with a big drop next to it that dropped into a river. Of course I managed to hit a dip and fly out of control and right over my handlebars, fall all the way down the embankment... Luckly my face broke the fall. Had to get stitches all over my face from that one. When I dont shave for a week, you can tell where the stitches were, because hair wont grow there :)

I'm really glad you said it's funny as hell now, 'cause I nearly pissed myself.

Sorry about that. :winkwink:

When my dad died, when my dogs and other pets have died, and when I got divorced from my 2nd wife.

Physical pain is easy to deal with. Emotional pain is the tough one in life to come to terms with.

Deepai 10-06-2004 03:35 PM

yea a broken heart, no doubt

yeah, this is true for sure :(

Cypherpunk 10-06-2004 03:38 PM

I mangaed to rip a muscle right at the base of my spine, hurt like fuck. Hit the floor and couldnt get up for weeks. That was just over a year ago and I can still feel twinges of pain on the scar tissue where is healed :(

kemp 10-06-2004 03:38 PM

A week ago saturday I went wakeboarding. A wave hit me hard at the same moment the boat driver hit the gas. The wake board twisted my legs so hard that my left femur shattered. I heard the sucker pop and immediately I knew it was broken.

That was only the beginning. One of my buddies had to jump off the boat and remove the bolts that attach the boots to the wakeboard before they could lift me onto the deck of the boat. Being pulled from the lake was the most pain I've ever felt by far.

After that we trolled along the lake with idiots in speed boats whipoping by and causing huge waves rocking our boat. Every wave that hit would shift my already fucked up leg bones around in my thigh. It took about an hour to get to the marina so the paramedics could get to me and cut off the boots. They squeezed me into the helicopter (which was shorter than I am) with my leg tweaked in some weird direction. At least they started doping me up then.

That was pain. Why I never passed out I don't know but I really wanted to...:P

I will walk again in a month or two....

LadyMischief 10-06-2004 03:40 PM

I've had three caesarean sections which were all very painful afterwards... I broke all the toes on both my feet.. that hurt a lot. I herniated 5 discs in my lower back and broke my wrist and collarbone in a horsebackriding accident. I dislocated my knee and tore a bunch of ligaments and stuff in another riding accident... I broke my d3 metacarpal on my right hand 5 times... I broke a hip getting hit by a car, but I think one of the most painful things was a few months ago when I tore a muscle in my back and pinched a nerve at the same time... They gave me oxycotin for that.. oi.

I've had a lot of big owies :)

Yes, this is true.

adis55 10-06-2004 03:56 PM

I come from war torn Bosnia...during the war, I had to get my tooth pulled with no electricity and no novocaine or any other pain or I should say, anti - pain medication

4 people held me down and i actually saw the nerve moving right afront of me after they pulled it out.

It was def. the most painful moment of my life

DX 10-06-2004 04:00 PM

Take your pick... they all sucked on levels I'd rather forget..

Appendicitis

Insanity inducing ear infection.

the week following having my entire upper set of teeth, plus all four wisdoms removed in one sitting.

baddog 10-06-2004 04:03 PM

pain is relative . . .just when you think "that was the worst ever" something else comes along.

But a few:

Motorcycle crash with a car, broken tibia, fibula, 3 toes, and that flat bone on side of the foot

Hit in the face with hi-speed metal ceiling fan . . . stopped it with my face , , ,broke nose, many stitches

shoulder surgery

CTR

someone dropped a 16' 4x12 on my hand

EvilMichelle 10-06-2004 04:04 PM

A god damn tooth ache!! Can you believe it!! That shit hurt worse than labour.. I had a frozen bag of peas stuck to my face for about 2 days untill the antibiotics kicked in! And the icing on the cake was the lovely root canal I had to have after!

Libertine 10-06-2004 04:06 PM

Getting dumped by a girl I really loved. Only thing I ever experienced that never stopped hurting.

freeadultcontent 10-06-2004 04:19 PM

Having the blood cut off in my spinal cord at around my shoulder to the tail bone. Then having it slowly die from the bottom up over the course of two weeks.

Made a spinal tap feel like an orgasm.

C_U_Next_Tuesday 10-06-2004 04:21 PM

I gave birth to a 10 lb baby with a huge head .. hurt worse than anything in my life :(

bignasty 10-06-2004 04:39 PM

when I had knee surgery, after the surgery I couldnt bend my knee, a week later I could bend it about halfway and the doctor said that wasnt enouigh that I needed to bend it all the way and then bent it all the way back. hurt like a motherfucker.

FlyingIguana 10-06-2004 04:42 PM

two nights ago when i woke up with the most severe toothache. i've been hit in the thigh with a puck going about 80+ and that was nothing compared to the ungodly pain from that tooth.

Exactly what I was thinking while reading this thread.

Drake 10-06-2004 04:57 PM

I was about 5 or 6 and in the hospital. The doctor had to stick a needle directly into my spinal cord to take some spinal fluid samples to make sure I didn't have some type of condition they thought I might have.

My cousin's daughter broke her leg and was running around on it...it took three days before it bothered her enough to start whining and my cousin took her to the ER. Crazy

This makes me very thankful for my lifestyle.:2 cents:

Tooth pain, or anything around or in the head is horrible...you can't escape it.

Once whiel visiting my Grandma when I was a kid I took a nap in her bed, and I sleep on my stomach with my hands under the pillow. I woke up and runned my eyes, and suddenly was in excruciating pain...Gramma kept pepper spray under her pillow, and I didn't realize it...must have dischraged some into my hands. I must have poured a bathtub's worth of water over my eyes...I would have happily dunked my head in a toilet to ease that pain.

I've had two epidurals and a spinal block..is that the same idea as a spinal tap?

myjah 10-06-2004 06:15 PM

Childbirth. 'nuff said.

eroswebmaster 10-06-2004 06:17 PM

after gall bladder surgery...I seriously felt like I had been gutted..I had muscle cramps for months after that would just make me freeze wherever I was.

Sassy Girl 10-06-2004 06:22 PM

The pain I felt before emergency gall bladder surgery. I couldn't even walk...I had to crawl on the floor to the phone for help. The ER Dr. said there are only 2 things that can hurt that bad...gall bladder and childbirth.

I WONT be having a child!

boobmaster 10-06-2004 06:25 PM

Gout pain. Nothing worse, and I have endured a lot of pain in my life.

WickedVenus 10-06-2004 06:26 PM

When I first posted on this board lol no seriously, it was when I got my nipples pierced.

I then took them out like 2 months later, but that hurt like a total bitch

wdsguy 10-06-2004 06:28 PM

When I pulled a groin muscle doing cross country in HS. that was pretty painful

there was no grill. I was working up on a hydraulic lift wiring up an intercom system for a new Toys 'r Us. I had finished working, when the site supervisor came up and said I did something wrong. I went back up and fixed it the way he wanted it. When I got down he came up and said I had done it right the first time and to go up and put it back the way I initially had it.

By this time someone had decided it was okay to turn the ceiling fans back on (they had been off all day) and since everything on a Toys 'r Us ceiling is white, and the blades were spinning so fast, I did not see them and I walked right into it.

As far as the pain of our breakup, I have gotten used to women ripping my heart out, so I leave it in a safe in my bedroom closet.
