Because Kerry didn't vote for the war based on his faith for President Bush. He voted for the war, because he read the same intelligence reports that Bush read, and was convinced that Saddam had wmd's just like Bush was convinced.
Kerry and Edwards have both admitted to reading the intelligence reports and that being the factor. They have also said recently that they still would have gone to war, but would have done it differently.

Kerry and Edwards are to blame just as Bush is, but the Kerry sheep, will do anything and say anything to point the finger at someone else. Why can't you guys admit, whether you like Bush or not, that Kerry has made some pretty significant fuck ups?

The Kerry sheep go out of their way to follow their shepard. They take the side and do the bidding of what the popular opinion of the week is. At least the Bush supporters have made up their minds and are willing to stick to their guns.

The point of that post was to hilight the fact that Republicans (Espcially the Bush admin) have a BIG problem admitting their mistakes ... while the 'flip-flopping' John Kerry is really doing just that, learning from mistakes and letting his opinions grow as the information changes.

Several things come to mind actually because I have been wondering the same thing.

1. He is holding back for the next two debates. A knock out punch is far more effective if you hold it until the last second rather than giving it time to fizzle out before Nov. 2.

2. I honestly think at some points in the debate Bush was daring him to say something to that effect, which leads me to believe Karl Rove has something up his sleeve. Kerry might be just smart enough to NOT walk into that trap.

3. Kerry might simply believe the best strategy is to feed Americans just enough info so they can draw that conclusion for themselves. It would be, after all, very disrespectful to call the President a liar on national television. Republicans can't wait to jump on the, "How can he be President when he does not even respect the office of the President.", bandwagon.

There are still a great deal of voters in this country who are political purist and believe the Office of the President is much bigger than the President himself, and being publicly disrespectful to that office will lose their votes.



I believe a better attack line would be not to call the President a liar, but "Where does the buck stop?"

We must have a Commander and Chief who accepts the responsibility of being the President, the Head of State, and a President who will take the responsibility of where the buck stops. Kerry didnt vote to go to war. The vote was to give the President the authority to use force, as a final resort, and to give him that bargaining position when he went to the UN. The authorization hinged on the President's promise to use ALL other options and use force as the LAST and unavoidable option.

Kerry has stated this many times, and has also reminded everyone that the President did NOT keep his word.

That's way much too direct!

I think the issue a lot of people have is the fact that Kerry did not call Bush a liar to his face. Because Bush parrots, "You and I both saw the same intelligence."

I realize he did in many different ways, but some people have to be hit over the head for anything to register with them. :)
