::::Program to print out long Message board threads:::::

I was wondering if anyone knew of any programs that could download specific threads off message boards into word docs or text files for offline reading.

I want to read a long thread 63+ pages and would like to do it offline.

Thanks,

Wouldn't be hard to put together. You want something that just goes against GFY or includes other boards ?

havent seen something like that myself before

I am looking for the program to be able to do this on any message board.

GFY and others as well. I have one thread on a business message board that I want a few people to read so I want to be able to print it out and send it to them.

Word doc would be best.

ICQ 283948045 me for details if you can do this.

Well, the hardest part about something like this is that each board, even if they are using the same base software, is pretty unique so the parsing for each board becomes pretty much a custom definition.

I have programs that pull from here, Oprano, Oprano's old board, VNWR and Netpond's old board. I wrote them a year or 2 back to build a database of the various boards for my own use. The base proggy is just a pretty simple spider then I have definition tables that define the parsing for each board.

It was not a long effort, but like I say, each time I add a board I have to go do a definition. Some definitions are easy, some are fairly fuzzy. I am not sure if there is a better way to pull it off.

I don't run my icq from here (I am at a client site at the moment) but if you wanted to give me detail you could email me at sarettah at hatterasdesigns.com and I could tell you what I thought it would take.

Sounds good. I will put together an e-mail and send it to you in a few hrs.
