I think he means he has 3gig transfer allowance a month.
At least that's what I think he means. :1orglaugh |
My apologies...it is 3 megs not gigs. So the question stands...what is the fastest out there?
|
Did Esteban sell him a 3 gig line additional to his guitar? :winkwink:

3Mbit line I'd guess, you can get up to 100Mbit at home depending on where you life in the US but that won't be cheap.

I have a 100 mbps connection, but it's not cable nor DSL. Such speeds aren't possible with cable.

You can get 10Mbit at home without a problem if you life in a bigger city like Las Vegas. For 100Mbit you mostly got to be near a datacenter or some knot point. No cable but DSL or fibre and as I said before it isn't cheap.

Qwest offers VDSL but not sure if they will allow you the max speeds http://www.qwest.com/vdsl/learn/vdsl.html |

That 10Mbit service shouldn't be too reliable full 10Mbit over cable because cable lines slow down on high traffic times from what I've heard, but no clue I've never used cable. Is that 10Mbit up to or just down? 2Mbit up/down DSL line here. |
OOL is actually a fantastic provider, with speeds and routing!

My cable is 3mbps. I only get about 400k uploads, though.
|
My speed for OOL
Your download speed : 4468062 bps, or 4363 kbps. A 545.4 KB/sec transfer rate. Your upload speed : 933096 bps, or 911 kbps. and thats through my new linksys wireless router:winkwink: |
Most cable companies offer 3 Mbps standard now. Cox cable has 4 Mbps for $40 amonth and has a 5 Mbps for like $15 more( or something like that ). Comcast is upgrading to 4 Mbps standard.
